Edward. Jacob was always about him, him, him. And the Reneesme? No excuse there.

Jacob is kind of like.. forcing Bella to choose him. Edward isn't. And Jacob kissing her when she didn't want him to.. Yeah. Edward treats Bella better.

i hate to admit this cos i'm all 4 da cullens but wen it comes 2 bella, i think jake is better 4 her than edward. edward is way too controlling and possessive with bella, like wen he damages her truck jus so she can't go c jake. i think that was out of order. edward is too serious for bella and never should have gone for her cos she was just 17 so was bound to quickly get infatuated with him. he should have gone for some1 older i think, someone who'd had a chance at life. jake is defo better for bella all round and i think he treats her better.

Jacob is always honest with her while Edward is sometimes hiding things from her as if she couldn't take the truth. He's also restricting her freedom by being overprotective. I also think this "I'll make you a vampire if you marry me" quite stupid. One thing doesn't have anything to do with the other. He's bargaining with something that isn't bad for him, but what he thinks is bad for her. That doesn't make sense to me.

Jacob for sure,he dont lie for her,and he had never leave her like Edward do. and he is not say what she can do or not like Edward.

Edward was always patient with Bella he always considered her well being in his decisions whereas Jacob wasn't as patient with Bella. He ended up being a jerk to her while she was with Edward.

one thing, yah Edward DOES control her,forcing her to marry him, because its the only way for her to be a vamp.and age shouldnt really matter, because Edward is like SOOO older than Bella, like pedo ish old.And maybe he dus lie to protect her, but maybe it shouldnt be that way? Bella was clearly upset by that fact. Edward does alot of mean things in eclipse.Jacob was forced not to say anything about his wolfishness to Bella, and HELLO edward wasnt so open either? Uh, yeah you above...i am quite right. so if i cant be neither are you. and edward didnt force her...it was a compromise. he wanted her to have the human experience of being married. and he always said if she choose not to be with him, he would let her be happy. he would be hurt though. and Bella is older then jacob, necrophiliac much? and edward had the right to leave...he was protecting her because he was afraid he was causing too much pain. but they both know that they are meant to be. and jacob does force her to do things. but she doesnt do them...i mean neither would i. and damn right jacob ISNT better. and it may be your opinion and mine is mine. I think he was more smart on how to make her happy. Edward tried to hard and messed up.

Edward treated bella better because he always did things that would be best for bella: make her happy and keeping her safe. All of Edwards decisions were about her. Jacob on the other hand never listened to Bella. He was always pushing himself on to her even though she kept turning him down. He couldn't take NO for an answer. N let me say that is REALLY annoying. Because of that I CANNOT STAND JACOB.

Well, say - they both love her. But Jacob, I think, is a bit selfish. And Edward is not. Edward always thinks for Bella whereas Jacob doesn't. Jacob always seems to think for himself, always tries to rob Bella's love even though he knows well that the one she loves is not him. But I don't blame him because he loves Bella, wants Bella. And Edward- he's always kind to Bella even when he looks at her (kindness in his eyes).

They both have their bad points:

Edward - chooses who is and isn't safe enough for her to socialise with and does so slightly hypocritically (Jasper, a vampire who has tried to attack her before, is safe, but the risk of the werewolves is too much). Damages her car to prevent her from visiting Jacob. Lies and keeps things from her to prevent her from worrying (e.g. Victoria). Blackmails her into accepting his proposal before he'll turn her into a vampire.

Jacob - kissed her against her consent because he was misreading signals. Used emotional blackmail to get her to kiss him a second time. Refuses to give up on her and admit she's chosen Edward until he learns she's engaged (but he's doing this because she's choosing an irreversible fate-worse-than-death, from his POV).

Edward treated Bella better than Jacob.He saw the relationships between the rest of his family,especially that of Carlisle and Esme,and emulated from that.He always put her safety ahead of anything else.He may have kept things from her,but it was because he wanted her safe,because he loves her.He left her in New Moon,because he loved her,because he thought if he was out of the picture she'd be safe.

Jacob kissed her against her will,and then emotionally blackmailed her into kissing him by saying he'd kill himself in the newborn fight.He wouldn't take no for an answer,even after Bella told him she had made her choice and loved Edward and wanted to be with him and be a vampire.

Jacob was also acting the way he did to keep her safe. The difference is that he saw becoming a vampire as unsafe.
