I think that the fact that Bella reacts so strongly to blood is going to play a big part of the next few books... Just a theory... But I don't think that she would have put that in the book if it wasn't going to be important later on.

she didnt react as much, but i think her reaction in the first book will help her live like the Cullens do, and not go for human blood. itll only make her that much stronger during the first years of being a vampire.

She did have six vampires wanting to kill her at that time. i don't think that she could really smell all that much, cuz in Eclipse she got real lightheaded and sick when Jacob cut himself with the knife.

I think that we are just not reading as much of her reaction to that because in so much of it there is a LOT of other stuff going on, and when Jake goes to show her how he heals really fast, and takes out a knife she freaks at him, so it did surprise me at first, but now I see more reason for it.

Yes I thought that was weird too, especially considering that she could smell it. I would think that it would be important to the next book, so it should still bother her. I was surprised when Edward didn't really react to her blood anymore, that was an odd twist to me.

i was looking back on that, and she DID react to the blood on both occasions. 1) the vampires, after there was only Carlisle, Edward, and Alice, she had to breathe through her mouth so that she wouldn't pass ouy. 2) the motorcycle accident, at firse the moss covered up the smell, but after a while, in the truck, she did get queezy... i'll admit that it wasn't as big a reaction as in Twilight, but she had a LOT on her mind on both occasions 1) vicious vampires all wanting her 2) her halucinations were back and she found the formula!!!

I think hse probably like was in shock or something, but I agree with you guys, I think her dislike of blood will have something to do with hwne hse becomes a vampire. I think she might be like one of those, I can't remember the name but remember in Twilight, one of the vampires she was looking a, a vampire on the side of goodness, a mortal enemie of vampires. I think she might be that, becuase why else would Sephenie Meyer have put it in?

umm...im pretty sure that the blood did affect her, in new moon she even said that she was trying not to think of it because she was starting to feel all woozy or whatever...so this question kind of confuses me.

Bella was going to be a daredevil, I think she was expecting the blood so it didn't bother her near as much. She did also hold her breath alot.

I noticed it but I think that she was so panicked and horrified about the accident at her birthday, that Bella didn't comprehend the blood. She didn't even flinch until Carlisle started to work on her arm.

i find this one of the most ironic things in twilight/ DO NOT READ ON IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BREAKING DAWN. CONTAINS SPOILERS... bella doesn't like blood, is a complete clutz, and doesn't consider herself pretty. yet in breaking dawn, ahe becomes a vampire, so she drinks blood, is reeeaaaaalllllyyyy graceful, and is stunningly beautyful, which is the complete opposie of what she was known for. it's like she was made to be a vampire!

Well I didnt find it that suprising. I've already gotten use to the idea of Bella smelling blood. And I dont think she was that surprised either. She did react to it though. But not enough for her to overreact to it.

no way! she has five vampires trying not to kill her, + it said that she got dizzy i think. She was a little bit preoccupied with all of that and i didnt think anything of it.

in the party scene...she was too concerned about the vampires around her..i mean rlly i would be to worried about that more than the blood..also like in the motorcyle accidents she did somewhat react when she cut her head..but at the same time she heerd edwards voice and that was all that mattered.
but besides that..it is a lil odd that she didnt faint or get rlly sick..
