A hero? No. Not by my standards. But by literary standards, he would be classified as a tragic hero. These are the elements of a tragic hero:

1. the char is of noble birth

2. the tragic hero is good, though not perfect, and the fall results from the char committing an act of injustice, one the char committed out of ignorance или the thought some "greater good" might be served. The char must make an error in judgement to cause him to fall from his high stature.

3. The hero's downfall must be his own fault

4. The tragic hero's misfortune must not be fully deserved, and the punishment for it must exceed the hero's crime.

5. the misfortune must result in a gain of self-knowledge, или learning some truth.

6. the tragic hero gains understanding through his defeat and becomes and example for others.

I would say this fits Sasuke to a "T". The Uchiha clan was an elite clan, and Sasuke's dad was the Актёрское искусство leader at the time of its destruction. Sasuke is a good person (or at least I think so) and his fall was entirely his fault cause it was his choice to go to Oro. Sasuke did have a huge lack of good judgement by going there, but he believed he would be avenging the murder of his clan. Most people would agree his misfortune is not entirely deserved, because who deserves to have their clan massacred. Itachi is an even better tragic hero, cause he killed the clan for the "greater good" of the village. At the end of the misfortune, Sasuke learns the truth about the massacre, and regrets killing Itachi, which means he learned from his mistake and became an example of what happens when Ты seek revenge.

Sasuke is a literary example of a tragic hero, though he is not an epic hero или literary hero by far (Naruto would be the literary hero).

I don't consider him a hero simply because I don't consider tragic characters heroes, and I tend to only feel sorry for them, though Itachi is the one exception to this rule. I do consider him a hero. I do not consider tragic Герои as Герои cause their goals are often immoral, and I do not view immoral acts as heroic.

Though it does not really matter what I think, because technically, as I сказал(-а) before, if Ты go by text book standards, Sasuke is a tragic hero.

ok one if Ты think about it he has saved alot of ppl, Suigetsu would have been stuck in confinement and died, but Sasuke took him with him!!!! Jugo would have eventually killed himself или the evil would have completely taken over and he would have killed alot of ppl, but Sasuke came along and now for Jugo he is the new Kimimaru!!!! Karin would have been stuck gaurding a place her whole life for no reason and the ppl who broght up Orochimarus death would have died by her hands, and Sasuke walked up and took her with him!!!! who knos What Deiddara would have done after the Акацуки completed there goal, but now he cant do anything!!!! Orochimaru would have killed millions еще ppl if it wasnt for Sasuke!!!! just because he left the village doesnt mean he is the worst fighter, it doesnt mean hes emo, and it doesnt mean heis stupid!!!! if he was the worst fighter Jugo, Suigetsu, and plenty of villagers and other ninja wouldnt be scared of him!!!! if he was stupid then he couldnt have been smart enough to make Deidara kill himself, his body would have been taken over by Orochimaru, and he didnt kill his best friend as Itachi did and told him thats the only way of getting it, he out smarted his brother!!!!

I think Sasuke isn't a hero...A hero has to rescue people или somethin like that,and Sasuke isn't a boy which would rescue somebody или even something...yeah he is a bad boy :)

oh yeah! he is a hero! he's done countless things to help people and sure he may have done a lot of bad things but not just for fun. plus he could have killed all of those men in the begging but he told suigetsu not to kill them and he went out of his way to kill his brother cause he thought he killed his whole clan. and for those people who always say stuff like "oh sasuke sucks cause he killed itachi, why couldn't sasuke have died instead" that was itachi's plan he wanted sasuke to kill him and he never wanted him to know the truth cause he wanted sasuke to finally be at peace. but of couse when madara (a.k.a. tobi) came along he told him everything and destroyed wat was left for sasuke. now he can no longer return to the village and he was right when he talked to gaara, why SHOULD he go back?? he can't go Главная to his village, his friends, and his old life. he is a missing ninja now and is told to be killed bye anyone who comes by him. plus he COULD have killed gaara during there fight in shippuden but he didn't...he IS a hero!!!

Yes. I think Sasuke is a hero because basicly, his only goal in life is to kill a Mass murderer and something tells me that that will do some good for other people.

idk about anyone else but he's Sakura's hero...and mine. but its so sad....with Itachi and Konoha...but yes, in alot of peoples minds including mine Sasuke is a BIG hero!!

he is but doesn't lyk to be acknowledged as one. he wants everyone to recognize him only as an avenger who cares about nothing other than his quest for revenge
in episode 15-16, he saved Наруто from haku's needle allowing himself to become Swiss cheese.
he also saved sakura twice in the chunnin exams arc
in the valley of the end, he couldn't bring himself to kill his best friend, naruto, claiming that he did not want to do what itachi would have wanted him to do
And if you've noticed, sasuke, only after remembering his sad past, becomes very hot tempered and merciless otherwise he's mostly miserable

he WILL BE in the near future when they face off against madara-they'll be needing a sharingan user to beat one with THE ETERNAL MANGEKYO SHARINGAN......

Sasuke Is A Hero To Me. He May Fit The Descripton Of A "Tragic" Hero, But He Has A Heart, And Anyone Who Can Overcome Their Hurt And Pain In Life Is A Hero. Even If It Was Just A Coulpe Times, Ones Ты Wouldn't Notice, I Saw Them. There Was Hesitation In His Eyes. He Is Just Like Any Other Hero. He Has Challenges To Overcome And Obticles Too. He May Not Defeat Them In The Way Others Do, But He Surrounds His Obsticles The Way HE Thinks Is Right! And Standing Up For What Ты Truely Beleive, Even If I Don't Agree With It, Makes Ты A Hero.

I say that Sasuke isnt EXactly a hero, but I believe in some evidence that proves him a hero in some parts of the Наруто series in general.

1.like in ep 15-16 he spared Наруто from becoming a pincushion in оранжевый by shielding him with his own body

2.(I dont want to admit this but) he also nearly saved sakura from that attack of the Demon brothers *it was Какаси who finished the demon brothers*

3.he saved sakura twice (not exactly twice) in the chunin exams.

4. he protected Наруто from being potential Акацуки attack by attacking Itachi in Манга vol. 17

5.He somehow gave Наруто a chance to defeat the enemy who tricked morino Idate into betrayal by placing a small fissure in the blade of the секунда Hokages lightning sword.

6. In the Final valley he really couldnt bring himself to kill his closest friend even if he claims that narutos life was spared on a whim

7. in the episode Zabuzas blade he freed Suigetsu from becoming orochimaru's experiment

8. In "Karin of the northern hideout" He freed plenty of prisoners in the warden

9. He also freed Bipolar Jugo and promised to become Jugos cage in replacement of Kimimaro

10. He still has somewhat an innate gentleness in his сердце for needless killing thus sparing plenty of lives

I dont know with Ты people but in the latest episodes he has become so cold and dark he has been declared an S-rank rogue shinobi.....

Uchiha Sasuke is not the type who wants to be regarded as a hero. That is the last thing he would think of. Even if there are things that to some look like a thing that a hero would do, Sasuke does what he wants to do according to his plan, and being hero is not one of his plans. That is Naruto's. ><
