Van Helsing is an American-Canadian dark fantasy horror drama television series that premiered on September 23, 2016 on Syfy in the United States. The show was originally supposed to premiere on Super Channel in Canada at the same time but as part of Super Channel's ongoing bankruptcy proceedings the series was ultimately dropped from their schedule and it instead premiered in Canada on Netflix December 23, 2016.

Kelly Overton plays the protagonist of the series. Van Helsing was inspired by Zenescope Entertainment's graphic novel series Helsing. On October 14, 2016, Syfy renewed Van Helsing for a 13-episode second season.

Vanessa (the descendant of Abraham Van Helsing) is resurrected in a post-apocalyptic world, three years after her death, to lead a resistance against the vampires that plague it.
