Pretty much,but it depends on the character.

I have to be honest. It seems like more effort is often times put on female roles. In terms of humor, probably male. In terms of character development, complexity, and overall personality. Female.

I like the males just as much as the girls. But the characterization for each individual cannot be sloppy,lopsided, and lazily done. I can smell that four minutes in, and I probably will call it a bad movie. .

I have so many favourite characters, and something I've noticed is that I don't seem to favour one gender. Female fictional characters generally have a bad rep due to lack of females in the media industry, but even so, I've managed to find a fair amount of great female characters in Disney movies and other works. But I seem to still like the male characters just as much. So yeah. All good. :)
