I've never writen about a character that Остаться в живых memory, but I have read and writen stories that are confusing in general. Here are some main ideas how to do it:
- As Автор Ты must know the story very well. And not just the main idea, I mean the details and untold backgrounds. Don't make it as Ты go along. If Ты don't know what happened, how can your readers?
- Показать the events gently, stress the details - don't try to impose the obvious as readers can get it on their own.
- This is just a personal experience, but Ты might find it easier to write small paragraphs and put tham together latter.
- Re-read the whole thing couple of times to make sure Ты don't repeat yourself.
- Maybe ask a friend to read it and let him/her tell Ты if something is unclear.
- Don't underestimate your readers. They'll get it. Seriously.

Hm, this is a tricky one. There really isn't a set right или wrong way to do this and it's probably going to take fiddling with a couple of different ways before Ты find the one that works. I can give Ты some hints to find the right way, but that's about it.

1 - Know what happens in those memory gaps. I know it seems obvious, but it's crucial that Ты have all that information before Ты can incorporate it into your story.
2 - Know your story. Will it work better to have your character dream about the gaps? или to switch POVs during the gaps? или to just write the scene and have your character "wake up" with no recollection whatsoever of what happened?
2- Know your own style and strengths and weaknesses as a writer. This goes along with number 1. Are Ты the type of writer who does awesome in first person POV? If so, then play that to your advantage. Perhaps Ты could try shifting POVs - have the "black out" parts be in third person - that way there's a distinct difference between what your character realizes is going on and what your readers know is going on. или do Ты do better in third person POV? If that's the case, switching POVs might prove to be extremely difficult.
3 - Don't settle on just one idea yet. Ты could start out thinking one idea is absolutely amazing, and then get to the end of the story and realize that it doesn't work. Keep notes или a Список of all the ideas Ты come up with and refer to it frequently.
4 - Ask as many people's opinions as Ты can. The way Ты give the readers the information may make sense to you, since your the writer and know everything, but it may leave your reader feeling confused или irritated. Talk to people - lots of people. See what works and what doesn't.
And, finally 5 - Don't be discouraged. It may take weeks или months before Ты find that "right idea" that works. или Ты may not find it until Ты finish the story completely. Don't let it stop Ты from Письмо and don't have it make Ты abandon the story. Just be patient - it'll come.
