I'm just wondering why it's so hard for authors to come up with names.

because although there are many names possible, a character is a piece of the Автор and therefore must be as perfect as possible (well, not perfect cuz that makes a boring story, but Ты know what I mean). The name must fit both the character's physical discription and personality, which is hard to balance. Such a special creation needs a special something to their name. besides, getting a first name that matches a last name that's not common like smith, brown, или anderson, can be pretty challenging by itself.

well I think they should work on little stories first and start thinking of names then which would be easier
that way when Ты get to the stories Ты really want to go perfect Ты will have еще experience

Good question, I have trouble with it too. Probably because I can't think of a name that is perfect to the character

It's so hard to give names for your precious characters because your characters are like your own babies. Of course, if they are, you'll really think of the best name Ты could ever give...That's why most of the writers struggle so much for it.

Well, with me...when I view my characters right after creating them, I know I need to chose the right name. The name that will just fit them perfectly like to perfect matching pair of gloves. I admit, it's usually not that hard for me to chose a name for my characters, but sometimes I have moments where I just can't seem to find a damn name for a character I relish (sorry for my language).

I think it's difficult for writers because they feel the same way; they want/need to find a name that absolutely fits the person in their heads, but it sometimes feels like that name might as well be nonexistent.....

I write stories too! For me, finding names for the character is difficult because, I'm looking for a name that fits my character,if the characteristic is bad I need a name for a bad guy или girl. I also find names that is unique. I don't want to have a name that's very common on my stories.

I commonly struggle with names, but I just think them on my own so they are unique and character. Traits that describe the character make great names.

The primary reason why i struggle with names is because i want them to be original but not to strange. And noadays it's difficult to sort common from uncommon.

I don't think it's hard too come up with names. I write many short storrys and I Любовь the part when I choose the names for the people in my story;)

It is simple Вопрос and I have come up with these words of wisdom. It is so hard becasue Ты have to find the perfect name for the character, one that expresses exactly who they are and what they have done in the story. People will feel so connected if they feel that a certain character has the perfect name. As writers we need to this to make the book characters the best they can be.

each caraCTER HAS ITS OWN PERSONILTY therefore they need a name that descibes them and the spelling is important to for example wat do u think when u see the names alyss and alice u think of diffrent things the carecters need names that suite them somtimes it takes me three nights to find a good name i wright in my head every nite (sorry about the Трофеи that was an accident)

Names for a story is difficult but I don't find giving characters names that hard for me. A name for a book или a story is difficult because I try to make it relate to the story and that's hard.
