Chapter 13
The hallways of the hospital were dead silent except for the beeping noises of the сердце monitors from the patient rooms and Болталка coughing. Jax slowly and silently stepped passed each door not wanting to spook anyone and draw attention to him. So far it was working.
Finally, he reached an elevator and pressed the down button, hoping that no one was on the other side of the door.
The door binged loudly as it reached his floor and Jax held his breath waiting to see a doctor или security on the other side. It opened and he let out a huge sigh to an empty elevator.
He stepped inside and looked at the buttons for each floor looking for the one for lobby. He found it and pressed it.
Now he just had to worry about the elevator stopping for anyone on the way down.
A security guard was doing his rounds before he left for the day. He carried a clipboard of all the patients on each floor, making sure they were there and no visitors straggling about. He came upon patient room 13, a young man that had his face torn from a coyote. Walking by he thought he saw a body lying on the постель, кровати but as he did a секунда glance he noticed no one was there.
He grabbed his walkie talkie that connected to the floor lobby to alert them of a missing patient.
The elevator was closer to the floor lobby now and Jax was beginning to think he was gonna be able to sneak out of here easier than he thought. He noticed his reflection on the elevator doors and he suddenly realized his mistake that he didn’t think about.
Bandages on his face
Great.
Then on the loud speakers, “Patient missing from room 13 lock all doors on the main floor.”
Oh shit, now what… He needed to think of a backup plan…quick.
The elevator his the main lobby and as the doors opened security guards came running towards him like bulls on a rampage.
He looked down to see a button for the laundry room & basement. He punched it and pushed the button for the doors to close frantically.
The guards were right to the doors as they closed.
Close! Damn it!
The doors closed right on a security guards arm causing him to scream. He jerked his arm in and out trying to free it. Jax hugged the back walls of the elevator just waiting to get caught. The guards arm was finally freed but the doors stayed shut and begin to descend downward again.
He still wasn’t out the woods yet. How was he going to get out through the basement of the place?
The guard that got his arm stuck in the elevator went to one of his fellow guards and barked his orders,
“He’s heading for the basement, get some guards down there before he does, he’s not going to get out of this one,” he сказал(-а) rubbing his sore arm vigorously. The other guard nodded signaling the other guards to head for the basement.
On days like these, it was usually a mental patient trying to escape and they were always easy to catch but why this particular patient was trying to escape was strange…and harder to catch but luckily this kid had nowhere else to go. But they did make his день interesting.
His elevator finally reached the basement but his feeling of freedom was nowhere to be found and as the doors opened he felt the feeling of failure wash over him.
It appears his escape is going to be еще violent than he intended as he let the guards grab him to take him back up to the main lobby.
Despite whatever Koda had become he still felt like a normal human but with just a few extra…packages with it. His eyes started to grow dry and tired but there hadn’t been a sign for a motel in 2 hrs. He was going to have to stay the night outside again. He leaned the bike to the right as he rode to the side of the road. He no longer had a dirt bike so riding on fields of dirt and weeds wasn’t a good idea.
He turned off the engine and began pushing the bike out into the darkened field hoping to find a дерево somewhere out here to rest under. The moon was half full and it gave off a soft eerie glow on the ground but luckily for Koda his eyes could see in the dark. Somewhat in the distance he could see large plateau that was surrounded by Mesquite trees. He dragged his bike towards that direction feeling еще and еще drained by the second.
A strange scent in the air caught his nose causing him to stop. He sniffed some еще trying to figure out what it was and where it was coming from. It smelled to be another animal but he couldn’t quite place it. There was also a hint of…a human in it.
Baffled but not feeling threatened he grew closer to the plateau.
Jax was preparing himself as the elevator came closer to the main lobby once again. The guards held a tight grip on his arms but he was determined not to let them be a hindrance. His wounds under the bandages began to throb from the blood pulsing through his body after the adrenaline rush he had trying to escape. The doors binged loudly once again and they opened to the main lobby.
The guards pushed him roughly out the door treating him like he was some unruly teenager. Once they were on the floor Jax tensed his armsand locked up every muscle in his body as he jerked himself away from the guards.
He swung his elbow into the chest of one guard, knocking out his breath and making him fall backwards. Another guard came at him but Jax pushed his fists into his stomach knocking him to the ground. He found an opening behind him near the hospital front doors but he knew they were locked. He ran towards the doors as fast as he could and briefly stopped to pick up one of the waiting room chairs
He threw the chair at the glass doors, shattering one. He felt another burst of adrenaline as he charged for the shattered door that would lead him outside.
Broken glass cut into his feet as he ran through the broken door but a large and somewhat overweight guard was on his tail. He could easily out run this guy but the pain in his feet was making it unbearable.
A blast of cool night air hit him in the face and he sucked in a huge breath to help him push harder. His feet pounded the pavement but each step sent pain stabs through his feet and legs. He felt the glass shards bury deeper but he kept running. He couldn’t hear anything but the blood rushing through his ears, the adrenaline started to numb the pain in his face and feet and now all he was doing was running. He ran in the direction of his place of employment.
Bone’s Custom Texas Choppers.
The hard and somewhat prickly ground under the Mesquite trees was not exactly comfortable but Koda was so exhausted he didn’t care. Using his куртка as a подушка against a дерево хобот, ствол he laid down on the dirt taking a deep breath in and feeling himself ready to pass out. That same scent came by him once again but this time it was stronger like whatever it was was right in front of him.
The hairs on his arms began to stand up and his ears became alert. Something was watching him.
He opened his eyes to see another pair of eyes staring at him. A deep low growl came from his throat.
The eyes came closer to him and Koda tensed his body up ready to fight.
I am not here for a fight, a voice in his mind сказал(-а) to him.
What the fu--? Koda thought as the eyes grew into a body of a wolf.

Temporary Home
For some people, this world is only a stopover. They arrive here to do some good while they can, but they know that this is still not their true home. They are Ангелы who come to light up our lives with their luminescence and to teach us what they can before they have to Переместить on. They flash in on golden wings, but it seems that they are gone before Ты can say “Thank you” или “I Любовь you”. They leave softly, without fanfare. They Kiss our brow as lightly as a heart’s whisper, and smile, blinding us with its brightness. When we blink, they are gone.

Друзья Are Forever,so I thought.
All those pictures that I bought, now torn apart along with my broken heart.
I miss those hugs and laughs we use to share, because now they act like they don't care.
Now all we do is fight.
I wish God would give us some light, give me a solution to solve all this tension.
Друзья don't back stab you.
Друзья don't talk behind your back или be pissed off at Ты when they feel like it.
Nobody seems to care anymore.
Now girls are turning into whores.
All I know is that now we are all Друзья for never.
When we need to go back to being Друзья FOREVER!

This is written about the perfect silence only found in the dead of night, and the feelings it inspires.
The Название comes from the Описание a friend of mine gave when we were stuck in the middle of nowhere at midnight and I found it sort of beautiful.
Enjoy (I hope) :)
Weighted air and winking stars,
darkness draped, tension wrought.
This night, this hour, is ours.
Silence chimes unspoken thoughts
that choke my mouth.
Silver moonbeams in glittering outline
surround you, and in our youth
this night, this hour, we intertwine.
I'd Любовь to hear what Ты like или hate.
Thanks for reading.
