"Hey Cameron, ready to go?"
"Yeah."
"C'mon. See Ты at 10, Grandma." I kissed her on the cheek and walked out of the front door with Cameron.
We walked to his car and got in. Cameron put his keys in the ignition and drove out of the driveway.
-Half an час Later-
Cameron stopped in front of his house.
"We're having ужин here?"
"Is that a problem?"
"No. Not at all." It actually was. The last time I was here, which is when I was meeting his parents, it didn't go well. Of course I know his parents aren't here, but the memory still haunts me.
He took the keys out of the ignition and got out of the car. He then came over to the passenger side and opened the door. I got out and heard the door slam behind me.
As we walked from the driveway to the front door, I felt uneasy. My stomach was in a big knot and I felt light headed. Could I be transforming? I looked up at the night sky to see it was a crescent moon. Nope. I had been so focused on my queasy feeling, that I hadn't realized I was in Cameron's house.
"Have a seat. I'll be right back." He left.
I took a сиденье, место, сиденья on the living room диван, мягкий уголок and for him to return.
I looked around his living room and tried to reminisce my first visit to his house. Like I сказал(-а) before, it isn't really something I want to reminisce. Here's how it went:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cameron pulled up in front of his house. "You ready?"
"Absotively." I was actually trembling.
"They're going to Любовь you."
"I hope you're right."
We got out of the car and walked torwards the front door of his house. You'll do fine just as long as Ты smile and keep breathing.- my grandma's Совет before I left the house that night with Cameron.
I was wearing blue and black недоуздок, бретель через шею dress, which was a few inches above my knees. I also had on black stockings and black шнурок, кружева up boots. Cameron had on a suit that made him look 21 when he was actually 17.
Cameron knocked on the door. He had the house keys, but wanted to make me feel less anchors by pretending he was meeting his parents for the first time too. After a few minutes, the door opened to a handsome, older version of Cameron and a beautiful, younger version of Marilyn Monroe. In other words, Mr. and Mrs. Dammus.
"Hi. Ты must be Vanessa, I'm Mrs. Dammus."
I shook her hand.
"And Mr. Dammus."
I shook his hand as well.
"C'mon in. ужин will be done momentarily, could Ты come help me set the таблица Eric."
Mr. Dammus followed his wife into the kitchen.
I looked around the living room that was decorated with Рождество decorations and a tall Рождество дерево in the far end corner of living room. It wasn't decorated because it was Рождество Eve.
"How Ты holding up", Cameron asked as soon as his parents left.
"I'm still breathing, aren't I?"
"Keep it up." He smiled.
I smiled back.
His parents returned. "Dinner's ready."
We walked into the dining room, took our sits, and ate.
After an hour, things were going pretty good. That was until they asked of my interests and hobbies.
"Well, I'm really interested in wildlife." Technically not a lie. I research the wildlife around the mythical creatures.
"Really? So Ты want to be a veternarian", asked Mrs. Dammus.
"Not really."
"But Ты сказал(-а) you're interested in wildlife."
"Yes, I am."
"I'm not following."
"I take pictures of the wildlife."
"So you're into photography", asked Mr. Dammus.
"No. Wildlife."
They both gave me a puzzled look. I looked at Cameron with pleading look.
He said, "She's into wildlife because of the фото she takes."
His parents nod, though I feeling they still don't understand.
After dinner, we all went into the living room and gathered around the bare Рождество tree. Mrs. Dammus left the living room.
"Vanessa, we have a tradition in our family", сказал(-а) Mr. Dammus.
Mrs. Dammus came back holding a white box.
"And we take turns in this particular tradition, which is putting the звезда on вверх of the tree." Mr. Dammus walked over to Mrs. Dammus and takes the lid off the white box. Cameron walks over towards them and takes out this beautiful, silver and Золото star. "And it's your turn, Vanessa."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I forget what happens in the middle, but it ends with me breaking the звезда and Cameron's parents hating me ever since.
Cameron came back holding a rose. "For the lovely lady." He hands me the rose.
I take it. "Why thank you, handsome gentleman."
"Follow me." He holds out his hand.
I take it and he leads me through the dining room, the kitchen, and finally to the back porch.
"Wow." Cameron had decorated the the porch with little lights. I looked at a little таблица with two empty plates. "Cameron, what is all this?"
"Don't tell Ты forgot what день it is." Cameron leads me to the little таблица and pulls out my chair.
I sit. "It's not my birthday, it's definitely not your birthday, and it's not our anniversary. What день did I forget?"
"This is the day...", Cameron pushed in my chair and took a сиденье, место, сиденья in the chair across from
me."you tell me the truth!"
It was a set up! A clever and romantic one, but a set up none the less. "Okay, I'll tell you."
"The truth?"
"The whole truth and nothing but it."
"Finally."
"But it's a long story."
"We've got all night."
"Prepare yourself."
He nods as if he's already intrigued, which he probably is.
Here goes nothing. ...................................

Here goes nothing. ...................................
crashed and faded
by the fate
that follows
the land
on which
you're standing.
Dreams
are dead...
Fighting for
better days
now seems so
vainly,
everything went
wrong.
Dreams are
broken
in so many nights
that echo
along with
dust of past.
Put yourself
together
and hold on
to something
good,
Ты might survive,
Ты might escape
from the fate
that follows
the land
on which
you're standing.
Days are black
and cold,
nights spent
in despair
and thinking.
Your fate is
bounded to
the land
on which
you're standing.
What we have we won’t give
Up to any without a fight
Our ancestors gave us this birth right
We just want to live in peace
But still the battles will not cease
Until we’re driven from our home
Then we would be left to roam
And settle in some other place
или wiped out with no trace
Our names they wouldn’t know
So we prepare to meet our foe
The tribal headdress worn with pride
And paint upon our skin to hide
Who they face upon the field
Armed with arrows, spear & shield
Seen as men within a crowd
Surging forth we holler aloud
No fear from us will be shown
As they meet the unknown
Warriors not afraid to die
Fighting for our cause we try
To save our land & family
So our tribe can be free
To live as we choose to do
So let battle now ensue
