This book is a vampire novel. Simple fact is I disliked Twilight so much I decided to write a half-decent vampire novel. So here is chapter 1

Eve looked back at her wings. They were magnificent, pure white and shining. They stretched out about 20 feet. Grinning, she gave herself a running start and launched into the air. Momentarily just enjoying the rush, she opened her eyes and gasped. Everything looked so small! The river gracefully curved on for miles. Letting out a small giggle Eve dived. Now she could make out a few faces. Her mother, Janet, waved from the библиотека where she worked. Eve waved back, and darted back into the sky. She saw someone in the distance, resting in a spot behind a building where the light did not reach. Eve frowned and голубь towards the figure, which appeared to be a girl about her own age…
‘“Hurry up, Eve! You’re going to be late!” called a voice from down the hall.
“Coming, Janet!” Eve called back, hurriedly yanking a brush through her wavy red hair. Pulling it back in a ponytail she gave a satisfactory nod and left the bathroom. She turned left and was met with an angry glare.
“What took you?” Janet asked angrily.
“I kept falling beck asleep,” Eve responded. Of course, she couldn’t be blamed. She was having one of those dreams. It had remained crystal clear in her mind until now, but as she tried to recall it again, it began slipping from her grasp.
“Well, come on then. Ты need a ride? It is your first day.” Janet asked.
“No thanks, I’m good,” Eve quickly said. “You shouldn’t tax yourself.”
Janet sighed, scratching her wig. “I know, honey. Um… have a good day, Ты hear?”
“Bye, Janet,” Eve somberly replied, giving her mother a hug. “And don’t worry, the doctor сказал(-а) there is still a chance the chemo might work.”
Eve quickly grabbed her backpack and walked out the door, not wanting to look at her mother wasting away any longer.
---
Eve pulled into the school parking lot. She was in plenty of time, mostly due to a few broken traffic laws. Pulling her backpack out, she stepped out of the car. Wincing at the bright sun, used her hand to visor her eyes and walked towards the building. She noticed a black car with tinted windows pull into a parking space. A girl with blonde hair hopped out, wearing all white with a wide-brimmed hat. She reached into her car and grabbed her bag, running into the building at breakneck speed.
“Huh. What has her in such a hurry?” Eve thought, before following the mysterious girl into the building. She walked towards the office and stepped in.
“Uh, this is Eve, I’m here to enroll,” she stuttered a bit. The lady at the стол письменный, стол glanced up and jerked her thumb towards a closed door.
“Thanks, I guess,” muttered Eve. She pushed open the door, staring at the ground. She looked up and saw a middle aged, balding man who appeared to be pulling his finger out of his nose.
“I’m Eve, I’m her to –“
“Yes yes I know, Ты are here to enroll. Your mom called ahead. Just fill out and sign these and while I get your schedule ready,” snapped the man. “My name is Mr. Henderson, school counselor.”
“Nice to meet you,” replied Eve as she began filling in the blank spots. As she put in her information, Mr. Henderson would periodically look up and ask her about her classes. About 15 минуты later, Eve was done Письмо and Mr. Henderson had printed off her schedule.
“Here, take this and a school map. Your teachers will provide Ты with everything else,” stated Mr. Henderson rather matter-of-factly.
“Thank you,” replied Eve. She look at her schedule.

Eve wasn’t paying attention and collided with a figure.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! Let me help Ты up!” the girl she had seen before in the parking lot stood above her, white pants and white tank вверх making her look like a виноград сок stain waiting to happen. She reached down and grabbed Eve’s hand, pulling her up.
“That was my fault, I wasn’t paying attention,” replied Eve. The girl just shook her head.
“Looking for something?” asked the girl.
“Yeah, room 227.”
“AP Chem? Lucky you, I’m headed that way now. Присоединиться me?” the girl smiled.
