Here's a chapter for ya!





I woke up in the infirmery. I gasped and shot up. Someone was sitting at my feet. His head in his hands.
"Daddy....?" I asked, scared he wasnt. He turned, he was pale, but not to the point it was sickly. My jaw dropped. It wasnt Fang, but it was a creepy dude, sitting at my feet. I went to scream at him. But he put his finger over my lips.
"Shhhh! Nobody can see me other than you..." He said.
"What!? Im confuzled....." I said, I fell back and shut my eyes. When I opened them again....
He was gone.... My eyes widened.
"SOMEBODY GET IN HERE!!!" I yelled, I heard footsteps. Harley came in.
"Mel!? MEL!!" She attacked me in a hug.
"Your not dead!" She said, crushing me in a Супермен hug.
"Cant." "Breath." Thats all I could get out before my face turned purple. She gasped and let go.
"Mel! Im sorry!" She yelled. I smiled and panted. I pat her head.
"Thats ok. I just still have bruises from the last hug Ты gave me..." I smiled, and so did she. I felt like a lump of potatos that fell down three flights of stairs. But I couldnt tell her that. She would worry and give me special treatment. So I smiled.
"How long was I out?" I asked, rubbing my forehead. Harley shivered and looked at me.
"Three weeks." She said. I fainted.....

I opened my eyes slowly. Heads were peering over me. My eyes widened, and widened, and widened. Untill I thought they were just going to pop out of their sockets.
"Uh... Hi.....?" I tried to greet.
"KID! Ты know what they injected into Ты when Ты were at the School!?" KidFlash asked, sounding like he didnt want to be there, at all.
"Wait w-" I started, but stopped when Nightwing shot a glare at Wally.
"Melissa, when Ты were at this, "School" place, do Ты know what they injected into your arm?" He asked with a soft, comforting voice.
"I-I-I think it was a sedative...." I stuttered. Nightwing nodded.
"Not exactly." He said, I shivered.
"Wh-What was it then?" I asked, afraid of the answer.
"We dont know yet." Artemis said, her arms crossed.
"I have a thing....about a bunch of people in one place with me...so uh....could some people...leave?" I asked, trying not to be rude, but I was freaked out to the point my Мурашки had goosebumps. Artemis nodded. Everyone, but Wally left. I heard Nightwing talk him into watching me.
"So....kid....whats your name?" KidFlash asked me.
"Melissa....but Ты can call me Mel." I said, fingering the cuts on my arm.
"Mel huh? So Mel.....why are Ты so skinny!?" He asked, poking my stomach.
"Uh....I dunno...." I replied. I hadnt eaten in three weeks. He poked my stomach again. I giggled.
"What are Ты doing?" I asked. He shrugged. I looked away. Hiding the excrusiating pain in my head with a smile.
"So uh.....what happened...? I mean, how did Ты find me?" I asked, a little curious.
"Well," he started, I waited. There was a silence for a solid five minutes.
"We found Ты in the middle of an alley. Ты were this," he made a half an inch Космос in between his fingers. "To being lunch for a bunch 'a strey dogs. I blinked.
"Oh." That was all I could get out. I ignored my growling stomach. Wally looked over,
"Hungry?"


Далее day, I was walking down the street. I decided to go to Cali for a 'vacation'. Too bad a School base was there, in San Francisco, with me. I mean, how do the expect me to stay away from it? I opened my wings, felt the sunshine on my feathers, and blured.


Ari had me by my neck, pouring rain, I was slammed against a tree.
"Scream my little Birdie..." Ari said, menacing and it sent chills down my spine. I growled.
"Over, My, Dead, Body..." I growled, my "never back down" personality, now costing me maybe my life. Ari smiled evily,
"That can be aranged.." He said, his tone evil. I was afriad, yes, but I would never give him the satisfaction of knowing. I could hear my сердце pounding out of my chest. I smiled. I wanted to see him scared......... He started to crush my neck.. I growled.
