"Erica! Erica, please wake up!" shouted a voice.
I choked on air. My lungs ached for some reason.
And then, someone pressed their lips to mine.
Was I getting CPR? I tried to wriggle away, but something was holding me. Hot breath intruded my system, making me want to hurl.
My head shot up like a rocket. "Who--What--Where--When--Why--How?"
And before I could get my thoughts straight, I was staring into the lovely blue eyes of the Boy Wonder.
"Erica!" Robin gasped. "You're alive!"
He kissed me. He kissed me!!I screamed through my head.
"You kissed me!" I screamed at him.
He stepped back, allowing me some space. "It was just CPR." He looked pleadingly at Aqualad, obviously asking for help.
"When Bane crushed you, your ribs were almost broken. Luckily, Robin was there to throw a batarang at him and we took him down."
Robin looked sheepishly, glancing away.
I felt my face heat up. "So, it was Robin who gave me CPR?"
Megan nodded. She sqeezed me tightly and said, "It's a good thing he did. или else we would have Остаться в живых you..."
I ran what just happened in my head.
1. I had just gotten my first kiss.
2. It was with a boy FOUR years younger than me.
3. What the f*** just happened???
KF patted me on the back. "I would've done it, but Robin was so eager too..."
I screamed and ran out of the room. We were back at Mount Justice, the moon was high in the sky.
I stepped out of the cave and shivered. The breeze rustled the palm trees, leaving a chill on my spine.
I had no idea that Robin liked me. I had no idea that he liked me enough that he ACTUALLY SAVED MY LIFE. Would Бэтмен be happy with that?
I licked my lips. His lips tasted like strawberry, my Избранное flavor of lip balm.
Why am I remembering the taste?
I groaned and kicked a pebble. It was so confusing. Did I like him back?
I sat down on the ledge of rock and swung my legs. I heard a soft rustling sound from behind me.
"Are Ты okay?" asked the boy who saved my life/turned me insane.
I sighed. "More или less."
He sat down Далее to me and took a deep breath. "Ever since Бэтмен brought Ты here, I sort of had a thing for you."
"But you're only THIRTEEN," I told him. "And I'm SEVENTEEN. I've never dated, but I KNOW that things like this never work out."
His lips quivered. I suddenly regretted what I had just said. "I'm sorry," I сказал(-а) quickly. "I didn't mean it that way. I mean..." I searched for the right words. "You'll have to wait. I...just need to get everything sorted. 'Kay?"
He exhaled. "Alright." He looked far into the moon. "It's beautiful."
"I know," I agreed. I took his hand. "I'll try. Hard. Ты just have to be patient, Ты know?"
He smiled the classic Robin. "I'll be waiting."
And we sat there in silence for the rest of the night.
