Chapter 4-


Red Revenge had a theory for taking down the mayor. If he was indeed a Shadow, he would probably be heading to the morgue to destroy all evidence of the League of Shadow's involvement. So Revenge would wait there.

It was around three in the morning when the Shadow got there. He was dressed in his Shadow clothing, staying in the dark, making sure the area was clear before heading to the specific drawer his 'friend' was in.

Revenge watched. The Shadow placed something in the drawer and began to close it.

Revenge jumped down and kicked him in the face. The shadow fell to the ground. Revenge pinned him before opening the drawer. The body was disintegrated, an acid ate through the flesh, muscles, bones, everything. Revenge collected a sample before he saw the grenade.

It was a timed grenade. And the timer indicated ten секунды before detonation.

"Shit!"

Revenge grabbed the Shadow and Leaped out of the room, the grenade exploding. The heat was intense, the walls shattered beneath the fiery onslaught and Revenge had to cover his prisoner to save him from death.

Revenge groaned as the explosion came to as sudden an end as its beginning. He hauled the Shadow up and pinned him against the wall. Nailing daggers into his uniform, Red Revenge removed the mask. He wasn't expecting the face behind it.

"Councilman Harry." Revenge growled.

The explosion had attracted the police.

"Red Revenge! What's going on?!" one yelled.

"Ask him." Revenge replied before slipping into the shadows.

"Ah!" Revenge exclaimed.

"Oh stop being a baby!" Sarah exclaimed, pouring the liquid onto his wound. "And I don't see why you're wearing your mask.

"Because she can escape anytime. She's been in the base. Probably searched it."

"Well, if you're going to Показать her your six pack, Ты might as well Показать her your face." Sarah said, pulling out a bandage.

Sarah could feel his glare.
