i love obiwan and anakin they are an awsome team i love qui gon too they both would have made great masters

i agree with jedigal. but i've always felt that if qui-gon had trained him, anakin wouldnt have turned to the dark side. i know that was all part of the prophecy, but i think if qui-gon had been his master and trained him, then it would have all gone smoothly. maybe im wrong, but thats wat i've always thought!

I also agree with jedigal. If qui-gon was his master I think the same outcome would have occured, him turning to the darkside for the reasons he did.

i see your point fireworks123 in a way i agree but the only way that that would happen would be if quigon did something about the anakin/padme relationship i mean obiwan just kinda ignored it but i think i don't know really maybe anakin would have been more comfortable talking to quigon about his relationship with padme and quigon would have been able to help him deal with it or something i'm not really sure though i still think obiwan was a great master but fireworks123 you definitly got me thinking i didn't think of that before

I don't really think that Anakin wouldn't have gone to the dark side if Qui-Gon was his master. No one knew what was going on in Anakin's mind & no one knew that the chancellor was the sith lord & that he was manipulating him. And if Qui-Gon wasn't dead, the council would've still asked Anakin to spy on the chancellor. So according to me, I wouldn't have made any diffrence.
And besides, I like Obi-Wan better than Qui-Gon & I just LOVE the Anakin & Obi-Wan scenes together.

Qui-Gon wasn't as soft and was more like Luke than Obi-Wan, who was getting old and only told him to learn the force.

maybe if padme died earlier (like in the droid factory, for instance), anakin wouldn't of turned to the dark side. That's my only say :D

i coodnt decide between the 2 of them, if qui-gon was his master thn i think he wood act a little different but thn again i like obi-wan as his master because it made him the fun lovin, playin by his rules only,kinda guy tht we love 2day

I only say that coz Obi-Wan was alot like Anakin when he started out so who knows maybe it would have made a difference.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was a good Master for Anakin. He had not only an older student to train but a wounded one as well. He seemed like a father figure to Anakin and that's what made their final battle so heartbreaking. Qui-Gon Would've been a good Master too and I think he would've understood the pain Anakin felt.

No one can beat Obi-Wan's patience and care (except for Master Yoda, of course :) )

Don't get me wrong; I love Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship, but I definitely think Qui-Gon would have been a more comfortable fit for Anakin. Obi-Wan just wasn't *ready* to be a Master, so to speak. He did what he could, but... *Pets him and Anakin both*
