A complete description of the Big Hero 6 sneak peek at Disneyland!

So before they show the clip, a cast member welcomes you to the theater and at the end they sneeze. The audience laughs (or says bless you) because they think it’s an oopies, but then you hear Baymax! Baymax introduces himself and says he’s your personal health care companion. He mentions that he detects sinus congestion and scans the cast member. Baymax says that he thinks the cast member may have a seasonal allergy. He also says his scan has also noticed a lot of people who have fast heart beats and increases neurotransmitter levels and explains that these symptoms are common in people who are filled with  anticipation and excitement (my heart was beating really fast as he was saying this lol) like when they’re seeing a movie. So then they play the clip!

A good chunk is footage that are in the trailers, but a good chunk is also completely new. The scenes shown in the sneak peak are pretty much exactly they way they’re written in the junior novel if anyone reading this has read that. So, I didn’t describe the scenes in complete detail because the books do it better than I do.

Unlike the Guardians of the Galaxy preview, where it was just one long scene, the Big Hero 6 clip showcases several scenes. But it starts off with sort of a trailer type montage. There’s a couple new shots of the crew fighting and Yokai doing his villainly things. Baymax gives Hiro a lollipop. 

It then goes into the scene where Hiro meets all of Tadashi’s friends for the first time at the university. They’re all showing off what they’re working on and stuff. It’s super fun and cute and everyone is loveable. (Honey in particular is ADORABLE, her big chemistry ball like explodes and she is just covered in pink dust and it’s so cute ok.) Hiro asks Tadashi what he’s been working on and Tadashi says he’ll show Hiro.

The next scene is the scene where Baymax and Hiro see each other for the first time since Tadashi’s death, which has already been released.

The next scene follows shortly after the previous scene and it’s when the microbot in the petri dish starts to frantically move around. They end up in front of an old warehouse and Hiro and Baymax enter through a window. Baymax is too inflated to properly fit through, so he has to deflate himself and it’s super funny. He also has to re-inflate himself after he’s through the window. So Hiro finds more of the microbots and then we see Yokai come and attack them with the microbots. They look super freaky and it’s great. Baymax also has a really cute way of saying “Oh no.”

There’s a little bit of an intro to the next scene where Hiro tells the gang that they need to get upgraded and Wasabi says that they’re nerds so they can’t go up against him. The next scene is when Baymax and Hiro have their first test flight. Hiro actually kind of like locks into Baymax’s back so he’s perfectly safe. Their test flight isn’t perfect but it’s so wonderful to watch because Hiro is so happy and excited and it’s so cute to watch. The way the launch off into the flight is adorable too and Hiro keeps shouting at Baymax what to do. They land ontop of the San Fransokyo bridge and Baymax says that the treatment is working and Hiro is getting happier and then they fly through the streets of San Fransokyo. The 4D effects of the theater really shine in this scene as well. 

This then transitions the to finale trailer montage. There’s a really funny part where Yokai is like about to drop this huge box thing (lack of a better term) onto them and Honey takes a picture with her phone. The box thing drops and Wasabi starts screaming like crazy, only to find that Baymax is holding it up, saving all of them. There’s a lot of clips from the trailers in this sequence too. And that’s pretty much it! 

So overall, the preview takes about 10 minutes. Almost all of the clips would get very big reactions from the crowd and it it was fun to watch. I’m definitely going to see it a lot.
