you have to pay to be part of it not even voluntary donations that to me is not a religion

i mean you guys read the press all the stories about it ect ect i don't need to go in to all that but i'm not a believer in any organised religion as they consist of people at the top who bennefit from other people money who are convinced it all goes to charities and runnign of the church.

Do not get me started on Scientology. It should not be considered an official religion period, considering its opinions on money, psychiatry, and their dealings with opposition.

I don't beleive that scientology is bad, persay. I don't think any religion is 'bad' unless it states that you must hurt yourself or others to be in it. THEN I would call it bad. I WILL say that I think that it's strange, and even kind of stupid.

hahahaha they put Cartman on it XD ok on a more serious note, i don't nesicarily think it's bad, i refuse to think of any relegion in this way, but i also don't understand how the belief that aliens and no God/Godess et cetera is how we got here qualifys as a relegion. im not critisizing or anything i just don't really understand it, and like Emilyroxx, i find it strange and unusual though i've certianly got no room to talk about odd or different relegious beliefs.

I'm Christian and most people don't think that science and God together, but they do. God created everything and used science to explain it to us :)

^^ I absolutely agree with you about God and science, but Scientology does not necessarily relate to accepted "science" as we know it today. Scientology follows a more cosmic/spiritual understanding of the world than anything else. "Plus, "science" in its name refers to its latin root "knowledge."

A religion can neither be good nor bad, its what the people do that matters, not what religion they are.

The only time a religion should ask for money is when they're either going to feed a homeless person or repair their meeting house before it collapses on everyone inside.

I don't know very much about Scientology. Most of what I know comes from rumors and Tom Cruise. Which, really, aren't good things to form opinions from...

No, it's not. Having a belief in and of itself is 100% harmless. What IS harmful are the extremists. Religion is not the enemy, the extremists are.
