What happened to Other Wybie?

All I know is that he got caught by Other Mother then he doesn't appear again and the only hint Ты get is his clothes hanging up outside Mr. Bobinsky's place. What does that even mean?

Well, he was a creation of the other mother which means he was made of sand; so when Coraline found his clothes outside of mr. Bobinsky's house that was a sign that (I'm sorry to say) Wybie died.

When Other Wybie helps Coralune escape, Coraline tries to have him follow her so that Other Mother can't hurt him again. He shakes his head in response and takes off his glove, revealing a crumbly hand, which he blows away, Показ that he can't follow. He was being punished for helping Coraline and literally faded away into dust.
