Preface:
I have read all Книги and seen the movies.
Most importantly, the fact that it’s Фэнтези doesn’t excuse the themes and messages in the book. Fiction is merely a vehicle humans developed to communicate important lessons, values and philosophies. I am not claiming any of the implications I discuss were intentional on SMeyer’s part. Whether или not the Автор или readers are aware of it, though, the Twilight series communicates dangerous messages about what is acceptable или admirable или desirable.
Also, I highly recommend link. It’s long, but fascinating and deeper than the Книги themselves....

aagh! I accidentally deleted this when I was trying to Редактировать it. here it is again with a new title:

Bella could have gotten over Edward in New Moon and even had a real relationship with Jacob in time, but she wouldn't let herself. She felt that moving on would diminish или discredit her twu wuv with Edward and the pain she felt after he left. She wants to believe she can't get over it because she wants to believe that what they had was extraordinary, not like any other teenage romance. She wants to believe no one else in the world can relate to what she's going through. She was alone because she...

Disclaimer: The Название of the Статья may seem to be a bit strange, as most of my Статьи that I have Опубликовано on here are usually issues I have with the Twilight Saga, but I decided that myself as an anti, wanted to write about things I actually do like about the series. Guarantee, I actually do think Stephanie Meyer did create some characters in this series, and I just wanted to Список my вверх 8. This will be in no particular order.

Jasper Hale

If hypothetically, I were to meet the Cullen, I would think that Jasper would be the only one I probably be remotely afraid of in any sort of way. Or...

Credit to _lina_ and cinders, because they did it first. еще credit to link because that's where this is from. _lina_ used the same one.

------------

Number 1: Someone tells Ты или he admits that he has hit women in the past. He has talked about his killing sprees, he has killed another woman (Yes, she is a vampire. Who cares?) in front of her. Check!

Number 2: He refers to all women he has dated in the past with derogatory terms. He may also refer to his mother using such terms as well. Not sure about checking this one или not. He says she is the first one he dated, but then he talks of Tanya,...

OK, I know Ты guys are thinking: "What?! How dare you! Bella and Edward's Любовь is the best and most romantic Любовь of all times!111Elevntyone!!!1" And then, you're going to say I'm just some guy who hasn't read the books. I'm not. I'm a teenage girl, and I have read all the books. Even Bree Tanner and that bit of Midnight Sun on Meyer's website.

I'll just discuss the reasons why it's not true love.

Physical Attraction
...And еще of it.
Picture this. Our great female lead is in an average high-school cafetaria, surrounded by average, high school kids. It's noisy and loud, and she wishes she was...

1. Twilight is the product of an immature writer. It reads like something out of my notebook from freshman year.
2. The only difference between Twilight and fanfiction.net is marginally better grammar.
3. And even that isn’t so great sometimes. English major fail.
4. I’ve read fanfiction that is lightyears better than Twitripe.
5. The prose is purple amethyst! Deep, luscious, dazzling amethyst that scintillates and glitters incandescently in the sun!
6. Not to mention, it’s also insanely repetitive.
7. THESAURUS ABUSE! Fancy words are not necessarily better words.
8. The storyline is trite and...

{edited, added some stuff, just an informal consideration of a few of the arguments that support the accusation}

"Bella лебедь is a sociopath."

It’s an extreme statement, to be sure. However, it’s not one to be dismissed offhand, without consideration towards its arguments.

First, here are a couple definitions of the term sociopath.
-Random House Dictionary:
a person, as a psychopathic personality, whose behavior is antisocial and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility или social conscience.
-American Heritage Dictionary of Cultural Literacy:
Someone whose social behavior is extremely abnormal....

1. In Twilight, the "romance" as they call it is just there from the beginning. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians (We'll call it PJO), the Percy-Annabeth relationship was apparent from the start, but built up until the Kiss in Battle of The Labryrinth and eventually their relationship began in The Last Olympian.
2. In Battle Of The Labryrinth, Percy ran into Greek mythology's equivilent to vampires: the empousai. These were ugly creatures who had flaming hair, one goat leg, one metal leg, fangs, were deadly poisonous, and usually disguised themselves as mean cheerleaders. In Twilight, the...

Эй, there! So recently I just put a Bella and Jacob article, which I really enjoyed writing, and of course sharing my opinions. Some people have сказал(-а) they would want me to write a Статья here about Edward Cullen, so here it is! Hope Ты enjoy it!
--

Now, there's no way Ты haven't heard of him. He is currently every girls dream boy, has the most Фаны on Fanpop when it comes to character, and alos has a cult. Everyone loves him.
But my Вопрос is...why?
They say he's romantic, a gentleman. Really? So what if he uses chessy lines and says stuff like "You are my life now." или "The lion fell in love...

We have a discussion on the Форумы here about noteworthy things in twilight. I picked Angela, and now I realize that Jessica is noteworthy, too.

We'll start with Jessica!Hate. Besides Lauren, Jessica is probably the most hated human friend that Bella has. Reasons Twilighters give for this are 'Jessica is a brat', 'she ignores her in book two', 'she's too hyper', and 'i just don't like her'. Some of those are just ridiculous. 'Jessica is a brat'. How? How is Jessica a brat? Answer: She isn't. 'she ignores bella in book two' I'll elaborate on this one later, because it's pretty big. 'shes...
