I know it's late, but what bothered me most about 4x08 was how Damon's selfishness was being pointed out so badly. I mean, what the actual fuck? I really hated that. Damon is better brother.Stefan brings out of Jeremy the worst (4x07 -he actually threaten him to kill a newly turned vampire). Damon rings out of Jeremy the best (1x08 -Jeremy stopped dealing drugs,he stopped being depressed over the deaths of his parents and Vicky,he even started doing homework) and Jeremy saw that. And he decided to kill Damon,but he couldn't. Even after Damon killed him but after all it was Jeremy's wish to become a vampire.He saw the good in Damon,just like Alaric and Elena.
