At the Kenzo AW14 show yesterday, models walked a maze-like set, parallel to a mirrored wall, their reflections distorted in an utterly unnerving manner. David Lynch had designed the set and soundtrack, and we wouldn’t expect anything less from his voracious appetite for the dark and twisted. Stimulating forgotten emotions in each Kenzo character - love, revenge, jealousy and mystery – Lynch explained, “I wanted to try and get a different feel for a runway show, having mystery and emotion swimming together.” Here we chart David’s most fashionably seductive characters:

Trapped in a life of uncontrollable exploitation in a seedy hyper-sexualised underworld, Dorothy’s penchant for corruption causes her to use her power as a woman and her killer dress sense to seduce the men she encounters. As the name suggests, blue velvet is her textile of choice, worn as a long velveteen robe, peppered with sparkles, making her look quite the temptress. 

She\'s the Homecoming Queen whose untimely death is a catalyst for the events in the Twin Peaks series. The mysterious and misunderstood town sweetheart, she may look sicklier-than-syrup from the outside, but under the façade she’s a cocaine-taking, brothel-working maneater whose murder exposes many a dirty secret. With a recent casting call appearing for a Twin Peaks promo, we can only hope that Laura\'s famous last words to Agent Cooper were true: “I’ll see you again in 25 years.”

Alice Wakefield is an enchantress who is both Mr Eddy\'s carnivorous blonde bombshell and Pete Dayton’s mistress. Channeling serious 90s vibes with her platinum bangs, her most iconic scene sees her held at gunpoint, performing a seductive striptease for Mr Eddy, to the killer soundtrack – ‘I Put A Spell on You’. Her saucey act leaves her wearing nothing but platforms and a slick of red lipstick for all to see.

Following the life of Rita, an archetypal Lynch problematic female character, Mulholland Drive sits in the dark and psychological realm of neo-noir influenced cinema. But the infamous lesbian sex scene between Rita and Betty makes for an erotic induced steamy change of turn, offering a film which ruminates on the fine line between fantasy and reality.

A trouble maker who posseses effortless sex appeal and an air of allurement, Audrey Horne is infatuated with Special Agent Dale Cooper. Attempting to help him investigate Laura\'s death, she spends time working in the brothel before also coming to an untimely death. Dressing in clashing plaids and turtleneck sweaters word with her seductive façade, she makes a good attempt at hiding her inner emotional trauma.

MARILYN MANSON & TWIGGY IN LOST HIGHWAY

Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez make a surprise cameo appearance in Lost Highway as porn stars...what else?! Appearing in one of Mr Eddy\'s dark and twisted scenes of dabauchery, the  pair sport their usual dreadlocked kinderwhore look. Both \'Apple of Sodum\' and \'I Put a Spell on You\' are used as soundtracks to the film.

This whole world is wild at heart and wierd on top. The main character in Lynch’s American crime thriller, Lula and her boyfriend Sailor are on the run from her tyrannizing mother. Her style is illustrative of her life of mayhem on the road and her free-spirited nature – tight black dresses, loosely crimped hair, a leather jacket thrown over one shoulder, a slick of red lipstick and a pair of wild red stilettos, just for good measure. 

Lula Pace Fortune’s achingly hip, rebellious partner in crime who’s under a contract to be killed, thanks to Lula’s mother. Sailor is unjustly arrested and sentenced to five years in prison, but when he isn’t locked up behind bars, he’s seen tearing down the highway in a bold python-skin leather blazer, looking drop dead gorgeous, channeling Elvis Presley vibes.

Winning the award for the most wacky hair in David Lynch film history, we have Henry Spencer. It is Lynch\'s first feature-length film and is not one to be forgotten. Mad-scientist worthy hair, freakish dreams crossed with hallucinations and surrealist body horror make for a classic David Lynch offering.

An ‘old friend’ of Sailor Ripley, Perdita shakes hands with the devil when she joins forces with gangster Bobby Peru in a robbery heist. Her peroxide blond crop cut and crimson lips teamed with her wardrobe of spliced black dresses and corset-laced leotards make for a character who oozes originality and sex-appeal.

Dress, shoes and hair – Lil is a vision of all things red. Her bodacious appearance is matched by her equally perplexing dance moves, which are used to decipher FBI codes. If she has one hand in her pocket, the authorities are hiding something and if she walks on the spot, there is leg-work involved in the investigation… But forget cryptograms, it\'s all about Lil’s fashion credentials.

The leading woman in an epic scale film, Lady Jessica lives on a third planet. The desert planet, home to dune dwellers with piercing blue eyes. Her style is a mash-up of Elizabethan costume and sci-fi space cadet hardwear, as bizarre as that may sound. A look which screams ‘galactic Queen’, if there ever were one.

The hunky FBI agent who had everyone’s hearts racing with his quirky mannerisms and his unfaultable sense of humor. After his undisclosed fate in the final episode, we’re praying he’s still alive and set to make a come back with Laura (we can dream). Whilst on duty he fronted a non-descript black suit and whilst off duty he wore a faded plaid shirt, like no other.

The cocaine loving criminal who shot Howard at a drug deal, Bobby was an arrogant but loveable rogue who got plenty of attention from the Twin Peaks’ girls. His dress sense can be summed up in one simple word – normcore.

Wearing a long auburn wig, a power suit and some vibrant red lipstick, David Duchovny plays a woman rather convincingly. DEA Agent Denise Bryson appeared in three episodes and in one of which she is seen sporting a maid\'s uniform, complete with cute apron and hat.
