Okay, you guys can base if off of song and/or scene in movie like I am. Because Fish spit is the most Romance thing every right?

Not a terrible song. I just thought the others were deeper and more meaningful.

I agree with princecatcher93, how is this song romantic? I explained my reasonings many times, the song is really cheesy. All the song is doing is showing a bunch of animals singing horribly while Ariel and Eric are just staring at eachother.

This really should go.

Really forgettable, and the vocals are annoying.

If the question were which song I like the least, I would vote for Belle Evangeline...because the song is boring, and even worse, it's not even about Tiana and Naveen. But it is a love song and somewhat romantic...while I like Kiss the Girl, it's actually a horrible love song. It sounds like cheerleading, there are next to no real deep feelings in it.

I feel like siblings or friends can sing this to each other (I'm not very familiar with this song)

"If I never knew you, if I never fell in love"....I really don't see how siblings can sing to each other

It's a peppy, fun song, but it really isn't very romantic, especially in comparison to contemporaries Beauty and the Beast and A Whole New World.

I like this song better than the rest, but just like A Girl Worth Fighting For, it sort of fails on the romantic side of things. I'm not that familiar with If I Never Knew You.

Snore-fest much? Sorry, the vocals only have a little bit of rhythm in it to make them sing. It's a very uneccessary scene. I could understand Kiss the Girl, this is THE LITTLE MERMAID. Poor Unfortunate Souls, Under the Sea, Part of Your World, most songs about positive things are supposed to be peppy...

I agree with BelleAnastasia. It is forgettable.

I also agree with BelleAnastasia - I've heard this song many times, I even recently watched the movie and I can't for the life of me remember anything about this song... the lyrics, the rhythm, the melody, anything.

@haijirah I judge based on the original cut of the movie...and in this one, "If I never knew you" plays without vocals in the background when Pocahontas and John Smith say goodbye to each other, and then it plays again in the end credits, after John left...and there the song fits perfectly, having part of the dialogue in the lyrics.

I smell something fishy here...when I originally voted, "Kiss the girl" was clearly in the lead, followed by Ma Belle Evangeline ...I have a hard time believing that every single vote of someone who didn't comment was for "If I never knew you" - because with 38 votes, that's the only way it would be so far ahead now.

Can I have at least 5 comments why I should take if I never knew you? Sure it was in the movie but it's beautiful. If I don't get those five comments by closing time then I will take out the second placer.
