It really depends of course. With images it's much harder to find them. But with repeat picks DEFINITELY. I agree that once or twice it's no big deal with images, but when people are uploading dozens of pages of icons a day things get buried fast and it's hard to know what's being repeated.

Seriously. Someone re-posted some icons that were literally posted by me only a page before. Would it really be that hard to just go a page back and see that they were already there?

Especially when the stuff you posted is only like 1 page back, it's not that hard to click through a couple of pages to make sure!

Whiiiiich is why it's important to include relevant keywords, so your stuff will show up in a search. Assuming the person re-posting is competent enough to search before adding. (Ha.)

Sometimes the user just doesn't know better, a polite comment or message wouldn't hurt. If you're really that bothered, you can report it - but I doubt anything will get done about it unless you include the link to the original in your report.

but repeated picks are annoying like your favorite couple? I've seen it at least 5 times!

The stuff I upload(& I've seen it happen to others) that gets reposted is usually screencaps, which definitely have the right keywords.
I feel like it's just blatant inconsideration, for the other people who took the time to upload the stuff originally, by the user.

i dont think somebody's going to go through over 900 picks, 40,000 icons, and 30,000 screencaps just to see if something's already been posted. i know i sure wouldnt. a few pages maybe but there is ALOT of stuff on this site.

Picks are really easy to search for. Just do "advanced search" and try some different wordings before posting. I actually do it almost every time on this page just to make sure since there are so many repeat picks.

With images I always do my best to check, but it's sometimes difficult. I always credit, but more often than not I just make my own icons so there's no confusion!

it's not a big deal though.i think some are just too excited to post without bothering to check.

What makes it harder is so many posters on this spot do not keyword properly so sometimes i will end up adding up say a video (especially videos they are neevr keyworded properly) that has been added up a couple of days ago, but i dont like adding up repeats like i accientally repeats one of Spikesgirl's picks the other day and of course you apologise but still you feel shitty that you actually repeated someone, or maybe thats just me!

I think if everyone keyword correctly we wouldnt have so much of this problem, or if everyone used the search engine!

If it was MY idea, it wouldn't hurt much to credit, ask, or even just let me know, would it?

^Hehe I actually did ask your permission and credited you when using your picks on another spot Cat, remember? So I know it's possible even if people don't always do it. It's really not that hard to be considerate and of course you were really cool about it, so no big deal! :D
