Watch Little Mix’s Emotional Performance Where Perrie Breaks Down Mid-Song

It’s been four years since British vocal group Little Mix formed on the “X Factor” in 2011, and on Wednesday (Aug. 19), they celebrated with a live stream.

After performing on “Today,” the foursome answered questions from Hoda Kotb among an audience of Mixers (the fancy name for “really cool Little Mix fans”), and in the end, they gave us a performance too, singing “Wings,” “The End,” their version of Katy Perry’s “ET” and “Black Magic.”

But things got a little emotional when the women were surprised with a special video from their family and friends.

Singers like Jessie J, Jess Glynne, Tulisa, Cher Lloyd and Kelly Rowland, who brought them together as a judge on the “X Factor,” gave them words of congrats. Hoda passed out tissues as Perrie, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Jesy couldn’t help but tear up. Perrie said they were emotional from a combination of no sleep and love from their family. Aww!

During their performance of “The End,” a song about a breakup like the one Perrie just went through with Zayn Malik, Perrie choked up singing the words, “And no one can love you, the way I used to do.” They stop the song to comfort her as fans shouted, “We love you.”

During the live stream, they held a contest for two fans who tested their knowledge of LM. The lucky contestants both got tickets to the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival, where Little Mix is performing this weekend, and a bottle of their fragrance, Gold Magic.
