Hello all.

I am currently drawing up the plans for a hobbit home like structure.
Everyone I talk to says I HAVE to have a big round door on the front of it.

Architect came up with the idea of making a big round wooden frame ( fixed panel) and having the rectangular door frame blend in with the verticle door lines. So from the outside, it LOOKS like a round door, but when its open - its a regular door.

Anyone else building one of these ? So far my building inspector LOVES the idea - something new and different to work on

Currently clearing the land where the house is going to sit - in my spare time - waiting for the architect to finish the plans.

As a side note, I am not allowed to have the garage set into the ground, as the laneway would catch the rain and flood the house.
