Lauren McKnight stated in an interview that if the sequel is as successful as the first one, there could be a possible third My Super Psycho Sweet 16. Gina Rodriguez almost confirmed the third one, but this could've been a typo because she was having a conversation online. Also, Scott Thomas, one of the writers, has confirmed that he wishes to do a third, with Alex possibly taking the role of the new killer. So far no plans of a third installment have been made.
