I want to know everything about Caroline and Stefan’s Christmas Eve on
We already know that Stefan’s last day with his love is going to be interrupted by a number of uninvited visitors, but there’s one guest in particular about whom we’ll get more info. “You’re going to learn a little bit more about Matt’s dad, his history, and where he’s been,” Candice King says. “That’s a really significant part of the episode.” And when you pair Matt and his father with Damon, Seline, Sybil, Alaric, Stefan, Caroline, and more, King says we can expect “a very awkward family dinner.”
Not only will fans be seeing more of Mr. Ketch, but they’ll be seeing more from the British Men of Letters in general. “The British Men of Letters are very big in the second half [of the season],” showrunner Robert Singer says. “They’re certainly helpful in episode 9, and then we play them out in a really interesting way. I think the first half of the season with the British Men of Letters was a little bit of a tease letting the audience know what their capabilities were and what their goals were, and they’re quite heavy in the second half.” Maybe they can help with that whole spawn of Satan situation?
Will Regina consider bringing Robin Hood back to Storybrooke on
That’s assuming they’ll all make it out of the wish realm alive. Let’s not forget, Regina is a wanted woman after killing Queen Snow and King David. “If I were her, I would absolutely be thinking [about bringing him to Storybrooke],” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. But it won’t be without hiccups. “It wouldn’t be a fun show if there weren’t consequences.”
We know she’s alive, and we know her plane crashed. So you can imagine that whatever journey she’s on, it’s going to be a very emotional one. But Juliette isn’t the only one having trouble finding her way when the show picks up. The crash has a surprising effect on Rayna, who finds herself wanting to make a big change after some soul-searching.
This is not a Reverse-Flash from a different Earth if that’s what you mean — after all, Eobard seemed to know who Stein was during the winter finale. “We are going to find out shortly on
just how this Eobard links into the Eobard from
,” Matt Letscher says, “where he’s coming from, and more importantly, where he’s going to after this.”
is looking to return to the simpler times in their relationship when the show returns in 2017. “They’re suffering a little bit from working with the person you’re with,” EP Jed Whedon says. “We want to make sure that we get to see them just be together and be FitzSimmons of old. That doesn’t mean there aren’t still bumps in the road ahead, but there’s a reason these two are together, and a reason the audience is rooting for them. So they’ll get over their bumps in the road and we’ll spend some time with them just being a couple and enjoy working together.”
Would you like a cryptic tease about during which time periods season 3 will primarily take place? “You will see the future,” EP Terry Matalas says. “We will go back even further back in time, and even return to a present day that’s not quite what you would think.”
We’re going to learn much more about Nas when the show returns. “We’re introducing a new character who I don’t want to the say the name of just yet, but that will help illuminate some of Nas’ background,” EP Martin Gero says.
Of all people, you’d think Winn would be the most upset to be sidelined during the alien
given the DEO’s expertise in the matter, but there are bigger issues ahead. “Winn doesn’t have a lot of time to be bummed out because of what happens in the episode after that,” Jeremy Jordan says.
You may recall around this time last year that Sheldon and Amy had sex for the first time on her birthday and decided to make it an annual activity. They’ll live up to that promise in the winter finale. And while
played into their coitus adventure last year, this time around is all about
— that is, if the arrival of Bernadette and Wolowitz’s baby doesn’t spoil the mood.
