From my perspective, the thing that makes Public Enemies an awesome movie to watch (as well as be inspired by) is Johnny Depp’s really awesome performance as he brought John Dillinger to life in a very neat way.

Plus, in real life, John Dillinger was remembered for being a courteous man, especially to women and children — and I think Johnny Depp sure did a great job at keeping that in mind. Somehow, deep down, he knew that John never abused Billie; instead, he treated her with respect, like a gentleman would. :)

“You want to take that ride with me?”

I don’t think any woman would say “no” to that. Instead, their answer would be a definite “yes” right there.

Basically, I highly recommend this movie, and I give it two thumbs up as well.. :)

mmm... I'll give Ты a well considered opinion....surprisingly not
in the flavour of mass poison-apple consumption...."toughest and most violent gangsta movie ever made eh?" What an edifying reason to get a blockbuster erection! Glorifying violence? For
the cultivated middle age audiences who grew up on Mr Depp's supposedly well-chosen career-path dotted with such non-conformist roles as Edward, Ed Wood, Gilbert виноград and Dead Man? His royal cheekbone highness has really been letting the team down lately....starring in gratuitous violence and painting the town a dark clotted red...Am I the only...

"PUBLIC ENEMIES" (2009) Review

I must admit that when I first heard about Michael Mann’s plans to film a movie about Depression-era bank robber, John Dillinger, I became excited. It was not the subject that roused my interest. But I found the idea of Mann shooting a movie set during the height of the Great Depression – 1933 to 1934 – rather interesting. It has become a period in U.S. history that has caught my interest in the past eight years. And the...

When it comes to the 2009 film Public Enemies, I have nothing but positive things to say about it. One reason why is because in it, Johnny Depp portrays John Dillinger as the gentleman bank robber (which was exactly what John was in real life) who treats Billie Frechette (Marion Cotillard) with respect. I find that to be really awesome, as well as very inspiring, too.

Also, John Dillinger the gentleman is much better than John the abuser in the 1973 film Dillinger (where he was played by Warren Oates), which had a scene where he mistreated Billie (portrayed by singer Michelle Phillips). In real...
