I need your help Fanpopers!!

I'm gettin a хомяк soon and I've had them before but I still consider myself a beginner.
So my Вопрос is what хомяк is good for beginners?I like the Winter White хомяк and the Syrian хомяк (teddy медведь hamster).
And if Ты could please post a link to some info on them and what kind of cage they need(plastic,metal).
