I don't see the point of props, anyway. I don't think I'd care if they weren't free. Besides, what do Ты even mean by free? They aren't "free" now, because someone else still has to actually give them to you.

Благодарности will never have to cost money. It could result in violence, and in extreme cases, even lawsuits. Not a good idea to bring money into something like this. Plus, richer people, или people willing to spend еще money might feel that they shouldn't be giving Благодарности to people who won't give back, i.e. people with little или no props, thus creating social classes on Fanpop, which is one of the things many people Присоединиться Fanpop to temporarily escape from. I know that if Ты Благодарности started costing money, I would protest against it, and if that didn't work, I would quit.
