Slovenian. In my defense, my folks were pretty set on staying in the US by the time I was born. So I guess they decided not to "confuse" me by rasising me bilingual!
Most of my extended family is in Slovenia and Austria, and of course they're all multi-lingual, which I know is normal for Europeans. The other factor in my defense (!) is that there are no other Slovenes in the community where I grew up. It's not like there was a Slovenian Saturday school, whereas the Japanese citizens here have Sat. classes for their children. Ok--I'm rambling now!!
