When a student sneaks out of school during the день do Ты think the teachers should call the police

From my point of view it's up to the age of the student. If we are talking about a 7th grader not being at school then the school should inform the parents. And please NO police involved, like seriously...only if the kid doesn't come back home, then the police must be informed. But if we are talking about a senior или a junior then I think not even the parents should be informed...unless again we are talking about extreme cases...The school school should just write it down to your attendance record.
I might have a different opinion about issues like that...but that is the opinion of a greek senior student (me).

calling the police is a little excessive to do right off the bat. i would think you'd alert the attendence office, the counselor, parents, vice principal and school security.

If there is a situation where a student has left the school site the teachers, headteacher and parents ought to be informed straight away. If they know where the student is going (e.g. they сказал(-а) they'd go home) then leave it at that, but if they don't know where the student went the police should be informed immediately.

That is true. Children play "hookie" a lot of times- from what I've heard and seen. It is true that the cops should never be involved with that kind of stuff. After all, they have other things to look after.

Police no, parents and dean/principal yes. But I also think it should be situational--if they have reason to suspect that the kid will get hurt или killed then yes, call the cops. But if the kid is just ditching then there's no need to go to that extreme yet.

No, the parents should be involved in this. If the student hasn't been Главная for hours then the police should be involved. Teachers should always call their Главная and reach their parents if they're worried about that missing student.
