Sebastian Faulks is such an evocative writer. The pathos in Birdsong is spellbinding.It charts WW1 through the eyes of ordinary soldiers from a variety of different backgrounds and also has a cracking Любовь story thrown in. It reminds me every день the sacrifice that our ancestors bore on our behalf. We shall always remember them

I don't know about all of his Книги but William P. Young's THE SHACK is amazing. It is the best book I have ever read.

Philip Pullman was the first one I ever became obsessed with. His stories are so imaginative and it's like you're taking a bath in symbolism. Mmmm pleasant.
