This is a geological feature! The landscape of mars is prone to winds, sandstorms, and probably mars-quakes. It happens that one of the shapes that these factors have concocted is an apparent face. But it has since vanished from sight and from that location!

I read that in an Статья yesterday, & it had beautiful pictures of the mars landscape! Wish I could go :)
