Wow...I'm getting really ahead of myself now. The next Relay isn't in...what, about 10 months? That's really a long time. So, every year, for Relay for Life, the one event that takes a large amount of hard work is the Luminaria Ceremony. It also has a great effect on the people standing below. The committee places the bags around the track and then place them to spell HOPE in the stands. People stop talking and listen as the lights dim, and people start reading names that cancer took lives away from. This is a very moving time. People reflect, they whisper, some cry.
