Why Did JACOB Want Bella for himself? And who should she be with Edward или Jacob

cause he is so selffish all he wants is his happynes and not others.bella should be whith Edward .

I think he wanted bella 4 himself because: 1st of all, he was born to protect her, and in that way he'd be able to protect her at all times; also, he'd fallen in Любовь with her (for whatever reason).
