The reason is that if Ты look closely Ты can see that Bella and Kirsten act the same way the are both quiet,shy,and hardheaded.So Далее time Ты see twilight think about for just минута and say to yourself"they both act alike not just because she plays her but like in the books!"

Because they couldnt find a better Bella. She's pefect for the role. Without her Twilight wouldn't be the same. Cant Ты just see how well they go together in the story and in real life.

They liked Kristen's audition.
It's not that complicated.

Kristen clearly impressed them.

And this is a matter of OPINION. So Ты didn't like Kristen as Bella. Tons of other people DID. I think she did a great job.
And besides, I doubt Ты could've done any better as Bella.

I personally think they chose Kristen because Catherine Hardwicke directed the first movie, and to me Kristen is the kind of actress Ты see in alot of Catherine's movies. Also, this was around the time when Kristen was getting recognition for "Into the Wild".
I dont think Kristen is a bad Bella, but I agree that she was not the best choice. I would have like to have seen Emily Browning, who they say was Stephanie Meyers' first choice, but we got Kristen, and I dont think she is too bad.
