Allow me a sec to explain this Болталка excerpt. The following take place outside of BR with a mostly separate plot line. W/o spoiling too much for future RPs and/ или article, here be the current events: after a series of events (I'm working in the whole story. Though mostly in my had only. I'm determined to finish BR before moving on!) Double Helix have discovered that Vika Vernadskaya (a.k.a. Czarina) if Alek's half sister (related through DNA of their mother). After a s-u-d-d-e-n battle, Vika finds sanctum in Mt. Justice in her brother's bedroom. And that's where this takes off. Enjoy, my pretties!

Golden eyes stared at the constellations above. Not the real watchers of the galaxies, but nonetheless, the glow-in-the-dark stars brought a sort of peace to the restless girl. The precisely placed arrangements of Orion the Hunter, Canis Major, Lepus the заяц were a sweet reminder of home, but also brought the inevitable pain of homesickness.
Vika yearned for the scent of the salty ocean air, the tinkle of glass wind chimes aroused by a faint sea breeze. But here was not Rio de Janeiro, the city in which her papa and she had lived for the last 3 years.
Her сердце stuttered as the thought of the man who had raised her. His stern voice scolding Vika for a risky jump while hiking; his gentle arms around her, comforting her after being awakened by a dreadful dream. She had snuck away in the night a little еще than a месяц ago, leaving only a quickly scrawled note to promise to be careful and that she would return.
As the loneliness threatened to overwhelm the teenager, a soft murmur reminded her that she was not alone. Vika rolled onto her stomach for a better view of the секунда occupant of the bedroom.
Stretched out in the coverlet, a quilt pulled over his torso, the boy slept restlessly. His hair, as unnatural snowy white as her own, ruffled and Рапунцель - Запутанная история as he tossed in his sleep as if fevered by a nightmare. A phrase escaped his lips, the desperate cry of a drowning man for his loved ones to save him. "Tara, moya printsessa, moya lyubov'." (Tara, my princess, my love.)
"Aleksander," she called softly, trying to pull the boy from the sea of nightmare. "Alek, awake!" She reached down her hand and brush tentative fingers over his bare arm.
"Rabotat!,"(Run!) the boy shouted; snapped awaked, jolted into a seating position, and grabbed Vika's wrist in a flash. Alek stared at the girl, who had Холодное сердце in fear. His eyes, adopting a blue glow as he became fully awake, widened in horror and shock. He released her arm and scrambled back.
"V-Vika, I-I'm so sorry. I did not mean to-"
"Shush, moya brat (my brother),"she soothed. "You did not harm me. All is well." The words were not solely for him, for they also caused her pounding сердце to abate its effort of escaping the brief wave of panic that had swept through her chest. Alek lowered his head into his hands without responding. Vika slipped from the comforter and lowered herself onto the floor across from her brother. Having half-morphed into her секунда form in her state of fright, night-vision allowed her to make out the cold sweat slicking his skin.
"Would Ты like me to fetch Tara?" she asked softly.
"No!" Alek denied hastily, snapping his head up. He curled his hands into fists and lowered his voice, though not to an unkind tone, "I don't want to worry her. It was nothing but a nightmare. It would be selfish of me to concern her with an error she could not solve."
"You are not an error."
Alek ignored the remark and yawned theatrically. "I apologize for disturbing your rest, Vika. We should both get еще rest before Nic and Declan request a Сообщить of tonight's events."
Before the girl could object -or tried one again to persuade him to take his own постель, кровати and she the floor- Alek laid back and turned away from her. With a sigh of defeat, the girl returned to the warmth of the duvet.
"Goodnight, sestrah," the boy murmured. Vika smiled in the dark as he verbally recognized her as his sister for the first time.
"Spokoynoy nochi, Aleksander."
