I remember visiting this website once...
It was called AKB48's '#Sukinanda' Sells Over 1.4 Million Physical Copies to вверх Япония Hot 100 | Billboard
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
AKB48's '#Sukinanda' Sells Over 1.4 Million Physical Copies to Top Japan Hot 100
"#Sukinanda" by AKB48 blasts in at No. 1 on the latest Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart, dated Aug. 28 to Sept. 3, leaving the competition far behind after selling 1,459,446 physical copies in its first week.
The girl group came in at No. 4 for Twitter, No. 17 for radio airplay and No. 38 for video views, which are adequate results, but the overwhelming lead in physical sales points is what propelled AKB48 to the top spot in this week's Japan Hot 100.
Last week's No. 1 song, "Uchiage Hanabi" by DAOKO x Kenshi Yonezu, drops a notch to No. 2. However, the track still leads in downloads, streaming and video views and is rising in other metrics (look-ups rose to No. 2 from No. 5, Twitter mentions to No. 4 from No. 9) as well, indicating that it hasn't lost its appeal even after some time has passed since its release and is slated to become a long-lasting fixture on the Japan Hot 100.
Perfume's "If You Wanna" comes in at No. 1 for look-ups, No. 3 for physical sales, No. 4 for downloads and radio airplay, and No. 9 for Twitter, generally doing well in enough metrics to put them at No. 3 on the Japan Hot 100 over BTOB's "Brand New Days," which came in at No. 2 for physical sales. Video view counts for the new track by the song-and-dance trio will likely increase and become a key factor in determining whether or not it will become a hit like their previous single.
Taylor Swift's polarizing new single "Look What You Made Me Do" is doing well in Japan as well, coming in at No. 7 on the Japan Hot 100 this week after leading the radio airplay metric. The video has been viewed over 2 million times, landing the song at No. 5 for video views, and it's currently at No. 3 for streaming and No. 14 for downloads.
The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and audio streams from Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOK, LINE MUSIC provided by Gfk Japan, as well as streaming counts based on lyrics displayed on PetitLyrics.
