Chapter II: Humphrey’s Escape
“I wonder if it was a good idea coming to the wastelands” сказал(-а) Humphrey panting. Humphrey suddenly got the feeling that something was watching him, he looked behind him but there was nothing there. Then a grey волк attacked him from behind. “Stop right there!” сказал(-а) the red wolf. “How dare Ты barge into my territory like that! Have Ты no respect!?” “Sorry, I didn’t know this was someone else’s territory!” сказал(-а) Humphrey. “Then, what are Ты doing here anyway?” сказал(-а) the grey wolf. “You see… I was hunting with my pack. I was responsible for guarding the prey, but it managed to escape…! Now everyone is hunting me down because of that! I came here seeking refuge.” “Listen, I think I can solve your problem, follow me…” сказал(-а) the grey wolf. “Wait, what!?” сказал(-а) Humphrey. Not sure of the stranger’s intentions Humphrey followed him into the woods. “Wait!” сказал(-а) Humphrey, “Why--” “By the way” сказал(-а) the grey wolf. “What’s your name?” “It’s Humphrey but--” “Mines Candou!” “Well, your problems end here, my friend. “ сказал(-а) Candou as they were approaching a bridge” “Just across that bridge lies the solution.” “Just a minute” сказал(-а) Humphrey “aren’t Ты being too kind to someone Ты just met?” Look, I know how Ты feel . I’ve had the same experience in the past. I don’t want another волк to go through the same suffering I did” сказал(-а) Candou. “Oh yeah, right.” сказал(-а) Humphrey. “You don’t trust me, do you? Are Ты afraid of heights?” сказал(-а) Candou. Come on we don’t have the whole night! We do it fast and get out faster.” “See!
