It was an immensely quiet, but quite a peaceful день in the Western pack. No fights were to be heard. The entire pack of Волки were happily safe. Joyful, delighted. But that always seems like a process that repeats itself every single day. But that entire process is finally starting to come to Humphrey's realization, as he is slowly getting over the loss of his family. He is starting to feel fortunate and Зачарованные to be alive in this world. He feels very lucky to be found by his best friend Kate when no one else would find him, animal или human. He wouldn't even be alive if he were killed by hunters.

Humphrey is seen hidden in the tall grass, crouching. He waits for a moment to startle Kate, as she is unaware of what's happening. The moment when it's time to give Kate a jolt, he makes a jump to her and she yells in surprise.

"Ahhh!" Kate shrieks in surprise.

"Haha! I got ya!" Humphrey enjoyably says.

"I'll get Ты Далее time," says Kate, as she stands back up.

"How is that leg of yours?" Humphrey asks in concern, remembering about her injury.

"It's getting better," Kate says in honesty.

Beyond the distance of the meadow spots another волк pup. A male one, for that matter, with jet black мех and pure blue eyes. As he notices Kate and Humphrey speaking to each other, a feeling of jealousy bursts into him. This young волк supposedly has a crush on Kate. He's never confessed his feelings toward her. But the moment where he can't stand the jealousy anymore, he feels it is time to approach her and tell her his feelings for her.

"Hey Kate," the young волк says in a somewhat attractive voice.

"Um hello," Kate says in a uncomfortable way.

"Um I'm Jake. And uh, I just wanted to tell you... that I-" before Jake could even finish his sentence, he was interrupted by Kate's parents, telling them that it's time to come back inside.

Jake was disappointed in himself. He was so prepared to tell Kate his feelings for her. He is even confused as to when and how Humphrey came to the Western pack, as he's seen him before. He honestly does not want to let Humphrey get in his way to confess to Kate. But as he gets back to the den, he promises himself to try again the Далее day.

The Далее день ~

As the sun is up to start the день anew, Kate and Humphrey gallop out of the логово, ден and race into the meadow, in the tall, high grass. The same spot where Jake attempted to tell Kate his feelings. As Kate and Humphrey sit in grass, Jake is seen afar. At the same time, Jake spots the two. As he does, he approaches to them.

"Hey again," Jake says to Kate, with a smirk.

"Hello," Kate replies, with the same reaction as yesterday.

"Now, listen. I kind of have bit of a crush on you," Jake says nervously, but relieved of saying that.

"Um..." Kate says awkwardly, not knowing what her reply should be.

An awkward silence fills the air. Kate barley even knows this young wolf. She doesn't recall ever interacting him. But to break the silence, Humphrey needed to make a remark, without sounding like an imbecile.

"I don't think she even likes you," says Humphrey.

"Was I talking to you?" Jake says in a harsh tone, which gave Humphrey a message to keep his mouth shut.

"That's nice... but I'm just gonna say that I don't have a crush on you," Kate finally replies.

"Oh..." Jake says disappointingly.

With that said, Jake couldn't do или say anything else, but to walk away. It may hurt him, but he might as well get over it at some point.

After Kate's answer, she gives Humphrey a sign that they should head back to the den.
