Post an Аниме that was first an OVA before it was really an Аниме Показать

I was already a Фан of Birdy the Mighty after I got the OVA's VHS (1996) back in the day. I was thrilled when the tv series Birdy the Mighty: Decode (2008) came out. I'd like to check out the Манга now, but I think the only way to do that is with scanlations.
