Well I'm not positive how old she was when her father died, but she has been a 'maid' since he did, and I'm sure it was before she was 10 :/ Poor Cinderella having to grow up with them

Yeah her life looked like it pretty much sucked around that age. I'm guessing everyone else either had both of their parents or at least one remaining parent as a buffer zone.

I think Cinderella suffered less, because her father was surely alive until her 8, I think, so she suffered just few years before ten, and Snow White suffered her whole childhood

Cinderella Snow White and Ariel were definatly least happy Cinderella and Snow White's parents died their stuck with their evil step-mother and Cinderella has two step-sisters and Ariel's mom died when she was only 5 and had to go 10 years with out music

I think Cinderella was around ten when her father died, so she was happy most of the time. And I don't think that she became the maid immediatly, that happened after the money was squandered.
Disregarding the cheapquels, I think all of the princesses save for snow white (and Cinderella after the death of her father) had a very happy childhood - well, Rapunzel was bad off, trapped in the tower, but she didn't exactly know this, right?

Ariel, too... couldn't believe Triton was such a bitch back then.

Snow White had it hard, but Cinderella had to be a servant too and it was to her sisters which is humiliating
