Эй,
kids :) Sorry I haven't been on here in like a few years but high school has got my schedule running every which way... anyways, enjoy this new story :)
Courtney's POV: The summer had just begun and tourists were starting to flood the city of Miami. My friend Nikki and I walked into the local surf Магазин to look for the latest boards that were in stock. The owner of the shop, Miguel, came to greet us as he adjusted the accessories in his dreadlocks. "Courtney and Nikki, partners in crime! What's up my little surf babies?" Miguel greeted. "Hey man," Nikki сказал(-а) to him. I was too busy to say 'hey' back due to I was looking at the new boards. Miguel whistled, waved his hand in front of my face and said, "Courtney? Hello?" "Oh, sorry. Looks like you've got some new boards this week," I said. "Yeah, I do. But sadly, they're way out of your price range," he said. "Yeah, but not for long," I said. "Whatchu mean girl?" Miguel asked in his Jamaican accent. "I've saved up almost enough money to buy one of your new boards, man," I stated. "One of the cheap ones?" he asked. "Yeah, but it's still a new board," I said. "True, but it might not do Ты as good in the water as one of the еще expensive ones. If I were you, I would still save my money for a better one," he suggested. After a few минуты of silence, Nikki asked Miguel how he felt about the new tourists. "Eh, they're ok, but Ты know me. Tourists are tourists, they come and go. Why, are Ты both looking for a keeper?" Miguel said. I chuckled and said, "No, never have, never will." "I don't know, I think this summer will be different for you," Miguel сказал(-а) with a smile as Nikki agreed. I shook my head 'no' and casually walked away to look around the shop.
Nikki and Miguel kept talking until it was time to leave. Miguel is never sad when we leave though; the surf Магазин is like our секунда home.
As Nikki and I walked down the sidewalk to go home, a really nice car drove by us and stopped at the red light. Before we crossed the street, I looked at the people inside the car. Then I met his blue eyes. Nikki kept walking along the crosswalk as I stopped to look at those eyes. The light turned green and cars kept honking at me to get out of the way, but I wouldn't move, I couldn't. I turned the other way to look at the cars on the other side of the road that kept honking. When I looked back at the car in front of me, it was coming towards me at a pretty fast speed. I tried to dodge the car but it was too late. The edge of the car hit my left leg at the last секунда and sent me to the ground.
