Ignore the second half of the sentence. I didn't like the DxC break up nor the cheating but I liked the rest of TDA and TDWT.

TDA sucked! It ruined DXC, and plus it started up this fan war. And now we have lost a lot of DXC fans to DXG. Your probably one of them since you said you were a DXC fan.

I never said it didn't ruin DxC, I just said that the non DxC parts were at the very least enjoyable.

Yeah, I was a DxC fan back in TDI but I was also a DxG fan since Hook, Line and Screamer. DxC was my most favourite couple but DxG was a close second. TDA did affect my opinion on DxC but TDWT also affected my opinion on DxG.

It would be good for just one season but I sorta liked TDA in many places that I don't feel like naming. TDWT made me want to shoot my tv but I didn't. I don't like bagging on people or fans but who could ever like a couple made from cheating? It's just wrong :(

That's just one way to look at it. I've met some DxG fans that think similar things of DxC, most of them saying that "they can't understand who'd like an abusive relationship" (note: not me). Others simply believe that DxC interactions have gotten repetitive over the course of seasons 2 and 3. Remember, different people different opinions. Many DxG fans justify the cheating with Courtney's behaviour towards Duncan in TDA while other just ignore it. An abusive relationship is wrong too but you don't see DxC as one, the same way I don't see DxG as a lustful relationship (which many DxC fans claim to the case with them). We fans tend to hold on to whatever justifies our decisions and ignore those things that threaten it.

TDA sorta started this. Either that, or the stupid new producers!

The stupid new producers you are talking about are Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis. They created the series in the first place. Or you could also be talking about Mark Thornton who was a director of TDI and the director of TDA. So basically the creators of the show and one of the two people who made DxC are responsible for the creation of DxG.

Everyone else said, there were new producers, and that's who made TDWT. I wish they could have just made one season. It made no since to let DXC live for 2 seasons, have an thousands fans, than break them up. Bad ratings. I'm not even watching the show anymore. I hate it!

Those new producers were Keith Oliver and Chad Hicks but they were just 2 of the 4 producers in charge of TDWT. The original creators of the show also directed this season.

Originally, they were going to make just one season but after they were nominated for Gemini Awards and the got high ratings all season long, they decided to make more seasons. Problem was that TDI ended in a 'happily ever after' way with everyone happy and that several characters were too simple as to carry them over to newer seasons. That happened to Trent: he's a simple character, he was there to play guitar occasionally and date Gwen but with a new season they needed to do something for him or he would be forgotten hence the 'Revolution 9'.

I have a theory about the making of DxG: Duncan and Gwen were both the most important characters in TDI. They were developed the most, had multiple characteristics and were some of the few characters (if not the only characters) that developed further from their cliche. They had a lot of things in common and a relationship between them was pretty possible. Furthermore, the existance of DxC and TxG before their future relationship would bring a lot of drama and since the show is called 'Total Drama' it had to be made. Trent went loco and Courtney became bitchy, just the perfect reasons to dump them both and start DxG. But someone said 'Wait, that's too simple. Let's make it more complex!' and decided to add the cheating.

The spoilers were a very intelligent marketing technique too. Everybody who watched the commercial with the DxG kiss would want to know what would lead to it and so tune in. The producers and directors are pretty smart if you think about it. This whole 'war' is catching a lot of attention. It's negative attention but it's still attention, the more attention the show gets and the more people choose a side in the war mean the most fans. For every angry fan that rage quits the show, another 20 fans start to watch it.

Poeple will still watch the show to see if DxC gets back together or DxG stays and therefore bring more rating. It's quite tricky but if they are actually doing this, they are geniuses. Evil geniuses.

I hate that you called Courtney bitchy, which she's not. Well, that was a bad choice. DXC was the most popular couple. A lot of teens these days like the whole 'Love-Hate Relationship' thing. It's entertaining. When your dating someone that someone might mistake for you sister, is kinda boring.

She wasn't exactly acting like an angel in TDA. You even said that they screwed her up in TDA, why is it wrong when I say it? Because I said bitchy? I can change it if you want me to, but that's not the point.

Technically when TxG was still around, it was as popular as (if not more than) DxC. After they broke up TxG, DxC has been in the tight rope until TDWT when they fell as well.

The Love-Hate works, that's why we they brought HxA, which has kinda repalced DxC in that role. Another reason for breaking up DxC, could be the fact that by the end of TDA everybody who wasn't a DxC fan was complaining about them being repetitive, boring or just didn't like them.

And about DxG being boring: I beg to differ. We have Courtney and Cody who want them to break up and Trent could join them soon. This relationship has a lot of enemies, so their hate will be directed towards those who want to break them up not each other.

This pick is lame....I liked all three seasons. TDWT could have been written better, but we can't always get what we want. But even if people like DxG, they don't support cheating. I'm happy that there was TDA and TDWT and DxG...but cheating is something I don't condone.

I liked TDA. But not TDWT. So i didn't know which answer to pick :/.

Unless you are really interested or the person who wrote it it's pretty boring :P I'm always coming up with ideas of why things happened the way they did and this seemed the most logical. ^ The pick is a little biased, I think that was Bakes' complain. It's basically "TDA/WT sucks!", "I support cheating", "I'm unsure" or "They all suck!".

I'm not telling you to change the way you do polls, but it would help if you gave the option to add new answers (which can be selected while doing a poll) for those with another opinion or POV.

Well I put that answer "Yeah for cheating!" because a lot of the DXG fans like that Duncan cheated on Courtney. And I was asking this, because I hated that TDA started because it completely ruin DXC from the start, and into TDWT

^ Some of us didn't like the cheating but enjoy the other things in the couple, just like you didn't like the DxC interactions in TDA but loved them in TDI. I know, I know, all I'm saying is that you should leave the option for other people to leave their own answers, not change the ones you do.

Well...I don't want to left this club because I want more medals!But at a time I like DxC and at a time I hate DxC.What can I do?To like DxC and DxG both?I don't know...
