If it didn't work with Tyler, it won't work with Trent. It's not like he's friends with the guy or anything.

I'm not 100% sure, but I definitely think it could be a possibility. I would LOVE for Courtney and Trent to become friends at the very least. =)

With Tyler, it was pretty much known that Courtney was only flirting with him because Alejandro made her think that she should make Duncan become jealous.

BUT, if Courtney and Trent were to become friends, I could see Duncan, and probably Gwen too, be like, "Say WHA....?!?!"

But if she went straight for Trent it'd be incredibly obvious that she's doing it for revenge. After a season of trying to tear Gwen's head off, she suddenly starts dating her ex. Knowing Duncan, he might even point out how obvious her plan is. And the question is if Duncan would get jealous not Gwen. Duncan doesn't really care about Trent, Gwen might care, but Duncan is quite indifferent towards the Lennon rip-off.

If it was so than she would have picked Trent the second Duncan cheated on her. But she doesn't even talk to the guy. And if you had recap of "Princess Pride", I'm pretty sure he would be very jealous. And even if the producers didn't Duncan show it that much, he was a slight shocked that Courtney went after a guy once he cheated on her. So technically, Duncan is trying to hide the fact that he likes Courtney, and is trying to make himself believe that he is entirely over Courtney and is head over heels for Gwen.

Gwen and Duncan's relationship was too..sudden. He just started to...date her. So the possibility of him getting jealous is very high. I can see it now.

I'm trying to think of things by the way they are right now. Duncan was kinda shocked when Courtney started using Tyler but he got over it rather quickly, eventually starting a real thing with Gwen just minutes later. He even devised a plan with Al to do the same thing to Courtney. I remember 'Princess Pride' pretty well, but that happened before he cheated on her and a lot has changed since that episode.

I'm not so sure about Duncan being in denial. I mean Duncan is impulsive, but he's not an idiot (not a huge one at least). I don't doubt that he still may have some feelings for Courtney (a long relationship doesn't just fade away) but he had a lot of time think about his decision. As soon as he came back, he said that every time he ran from the cops he thought of Gwen, which actually shows that he thought about the whole situation and didn't just randomly pounce at her.

I have to disagree about the last thing. Duncan and Gwen's relationship has been building up since the second episode of TDA, not their attraction but their friendship. This is the first case of friendship turned relationship in TDI. The attraction is supposed to be sudden in this kind of couples since the point of it is showing how a friendship grew to be something more. Think about it this way:
DxC was focused on Courtney's denial over her attraction towards Duncan and how she got over it.
GxT was focused on how Trent and Gwen liked each other and overcame their shyness to be together.
DxG was focused on Duncan and Gwen's friendship and how as time passed their feelings towards each other got bigger.

DxG is different from all the couples in the show since all the other couples started as an attraction, DxG started as a friendship. I still believe that the triangle storyline was poorly written and there are many empty spaces in it. There a lot of things we don't know about it, so your opinion is as valid as mine. Until Duncan talks, we will never know who's right.

Actually, I meant if Courtney and Trent really did become friends. No plots, no revenge, no nothing.

If the friendship was a fake, then yeah, people would probably see right through it.

But if they did form an actual for-real friendship, THEN I'd think for sure that Duncan, and probably Gwen too, would be wondering,"When did THAT happen?!"

Oh, if it was something real then it'd be totally different. I'm not so sure he would get very jealous but like I said in my comment above (the second one): even if Duncan likes Gwen a lot more than Courtney, he must still have some kind of feeling for her. They were dating for 2 years (I count seasons as years) so it'd be kinda awkward to her with another guy but I'm not sure if he'd act like he did in 'Princess Pride'.

For the record, I think everybody would be surprised if those two started dating. They are incredibly different, even Duncan and Courtney had more things in common, and I really can't see them together unless they both have some character development.

But despite the odds, if they do become a real couple with real feelings for each other, we're bound to see some kind of reaction from Duncan and/or Gwen. They are their exs after all, it'd kinda weird to see them dating each other.

Duncan wasn't jealous when Courtney was flirting with Tyler and Alejandro....he actually encouraged it. I don't understand why he would be jealous. He has a new gf now and he seems content with her. Why would he care if his ex started dating someone new? He would probably be relieved that she is off his back and has a new guy.

Because! He was pretty jealous in "Princess Pride." Enough said.

Duncan was jealous in Princess Pride which was TDA (Season 2). We are currently talking about Season 3,4,and 5 when he doesn't care about Courtney at all. If he doesn't care, he isn't going to be jealous. And he was jealous in Princess Pride because he honestly thought Justin could win Courtney. In TDWT, he laughed at Tyler and Courtney and told Alejandro to mess with Courtney so she would be eliminated. No jealousy there...

^^You never know he could've eliminated her so he could stop being jealous and focus on the game :P

^ If he did that, then it didn't work very well for him. He got eliminated in the next episode. Heather was talking to him and he got angry then Alejandro tripped him and he fell into a bush of berries which caught Zeke's attention. Fun fact: he lost his focus when Heather mentioned Gwen. Obvious much?

^ Duncan has shown some signs of emotion with or about Gwen that seem to go unnoticed. The head he carved in the first class seat, for example. It would've liked to see Courtney's reaction to that one. Oh wait, the cake in the face... never mind :P
