How could it not be safe?
None would photoshop your name или could chase Ты with it или doing whatever.
Ты just don't have to Показать anyone Ты really don't know your pics, или if they asked Ты for a meeting.'cause maybe that person (questioner) is a killer или thief или rapist (if he was a guy), And many stuff.
But I don't think that Письмо или telling your real name to anyone isn't safe. :)

I don't think there is anything dangerous about putting your name on your Профиль page. Unless Ты put your first, last, and middle name, accompanied by exactly where Ты live ._.
But if all Ты have is your first and last name and (for example) if Ты live in a state like Missouri, no one is going to be able to track Ты down from that. There are millions of people in the world, Ты know?

I think its fine to write your first name, people can't get that much information using only that, but I would be extremely hesitant in including my last name on my Профиль though. However, if Ты link to your Facebook page in the external websites portion, people are going to know who Ты are if you've been using your full name (which a lot do so that family and Друзья can find them) there.

And FYI, hackers can only "hack" someone if you've дана out all your details (full name, location, zip code, address, ect) they CANNOT track someone by name alone. This is because for any one full name, there can be multiple people non-related who share it-possibly on the other side of the globe, so unless your named 'Starfire hotpants horseshoe McHammock' there is a pretty good chance your not the only one with that name. The horror stories Ты do hear about people getting "hacked" are usually victims of a fake contest/survey/subscription scam, where they needed to give their full information out to reclaim a prize that they think they've won.

Just put your first name, in my opinion. I've found еще pervs and loons on Facebook than on Fanpop. If you're worried about putting it here, definently don't make a Facebook. That has way еще info about Ты on there and there are tons еще people. That means еще perverts, pedofiles, loons, crazies, jailbirds, rapists, criminals, theives, and horny bastards on Facebook.

Why would you? If Ты want your Друзья to know it's really you, just tell them. I don't think adding Ты complete name has any additional value here on Fanpop. Just your first name is enough.

Also, if your applying for a job nowadays, you'll always be 'googled'. I'm not sure if Ты want your future employers to think Ты spend all your hours on Fanpop.

I don't like sharing even my FIRST name anywhere online cos people from school might be on here and see my account and what i like and do. its nothing bad but i dont like people from school to know a lot of stuff about me. and then my parents might see me too and figure who my crush is and soo on and its embarrassing.

It depends on what other information Ты give. Nobody can find Ты with your first name alone. If Ты say what city Ты live in, what school Ты went to, your birthday, and Показать your picture too, someone can find Ты if Ты want to.

For identity theft issues, it can be. You'll never know who visits your page and is copying your info down right now. Your first name only can be fine though.
