Well, um, I don't "hate" it, but I don't particularly like it as well.
Anything new meets with resistence at first, & sometimes it isn't better to change and yes, it has some bugs that needs to be ironed out: The compatibilty with all browers, the ten letter minimum, the gif adding glitch, the sometimes not Показ или not Загрузка images...
I preferred the earlier version, but I don't hate it. The naming restrictions (10 characters and having to individually name every image in a batch) are annoying though. I've never had it not Загрузить an image, but I haven't added many since it changed.
I don't even remember how the old image uploader worked....either way, the new image uploader works for me. I don't like the 10 character minimum thing and I can't seem to Загрузить to screencaps anymore :/ But if it works fine with no other problems, I don't hate the new one. Maybe on other things like gifs etc it might be worse...but to be absolutely honest, after uploading a load of фото today, I'm not all that sure yet what is so bad about it. The old image uploader was extremely slow; with me it often took forever to load the images/wouldn't load, and when they finally did Загрузить they didn't always appear on the site until the page was refreshed several times; in one instance, they never appeared at all, and so I had to Загрузить them all over again. Whether или not other people had it that bad with the Назад version I don't know, but the new version today just did exactly what I wanted it to do, and that was to Загрузить pictures in a reasonably short amount of time, which it had failed to do previously.

It is a bit faster, but I never noticed any trouble with not uploading things
