We've noticed that quite a few of the fanpoppers have shared a ton of awesome personal pictures in the spot image galleries. Temptasia and alinazeer have shared pictures of their kids. Johnminh has Опубликовано some great pictures demonstrating the flexibility of his legs as well as his face. PkmntrainerJ has put up a bunch of hair photos. And DrDevience has shared personal фото of her travels all over the globe not to mention her snazzy Fanpop gear. We also have noticed that users like to mix up their user Иконки every so often to keep things exciting and fun. Ты acted and we responded by building your very own image galleries!

Now when Ты go to your user Профиль Ты will see an "upload images" link under your icon. From there Ты can Загрузить фото или Иконки или whatever image Ты want (that's not offensive of course!). Feel free to add some detail in the caption so everyone has some context for the фото или image. After you've uploaded it, you'll see your user image gallery with some controls. Ты can Редактировать the caption (the pencil icon) или Удалить the фото (the x button).

Just click on the little person Иконка to change your user image.

One of the best new features is that Ты can now click the little person button to change your user icon. Now Ты can switch it up to reflect your mood или just to keep things fresh. To look at the bigger version of any photo, just click on the thumbnail and it will magically open up a higher-resolution image with the caption. Click again and it will close the expanded image.

We know that it's these little touches that keep Ты guys coming back for еще and we're happy we can bring them to you. We can't wait to reveal what's next! So until then, please Загрузить lots of фото from your holiday and new год celebrations all over the world! или just Загрузить a bunch of your Избранное user Иконки to create a библиотека of them! Maybe one день you're feeling a little еще Michael Scott than Dwight Schrute или a little еще Hiro Nakamura than Peter Petrelli. Now Ты can easily switch between them with a click of a mouse. DrDevience At first I didn't think I would have a use for this new feature - there is a spot for pretty much all of my images. But after a bit of living with it, I find I do rather like having personal pics there rather than in the Fanpop Users spot. Nicely done.

No. This time I am here to give Ты a helpful tip. A lot of Ты have paid attention and are now putting a credit on your images. Thank Ты for that! The problem now is a lack of film knowledge, which is very forgivable.

An Open Apology... and Some Gripes

It has come to my attention that my gift for words has been failing me miserably these past few days. What I mean to impart is coming off as bitchiness rather than humerous или helpful.

For that, I want to apologize. Especially to Harold, who works hard for this site and didn't deserve to feel like he was under attack at all. I'm an idiot. I would offer to smooch and make up, but I'm too old to be getting beat up by anyone's wife...

Fanpop- Home, Sweet Home!

When I first clicked onto Fanpop, I felt like something was a little different. It wasn't like MySpace или YouTube (not that I have anything against the people who use them), where I normally get the feeling that people I don't know are looking at my profile. I felt like I could message the users on here and not get a rude или creepy message back. I could comment, rate, and make picks without anyone (besides the occasional bad-mannered user) commenting on my own opinions. I could add things and feel really great when someone else gave me Благодарности или прокомментировал(-а) on how thankful they were for that item. And, I am so glad that Fanpop has stayed this way! I feel so comfortable on here and only know 4 other fanpoppers in real life. I just wanted to compliment all of the wonderful users on how great they are on making this an awesome site to be on! Ты are all part of the reason I am now very addicted to Fanpop!

A Fanpop Challenge: Pending Spots

As most of Ты know, there is a special holding pen for newly-created spots -- the link arena. Spots remain there until:
a) they have a significant amount of links, Видео & images
b) there are enough Фаны to deem it Популярное ... или at least raise its status out of the 'geek stuck in the trash can' level.

Often I roam around, looking at these new creations, trying to help out those poor spots that have no videos, links, picks, или Обои to their name. But there are still spots there that were born over a год назад with little to no Ссылки to make it interesting enough to join.

I heart pick additions! Truly!

Just out of curiousity, how do people feel when they've created a pick, find pictures, spell- and grammar-proof the question, finally send it out to the world -- and two weeks later discover new choices that r ovrwhielminley mispeled, say "all of the above" или "none of the above", или are green numbers among all of the pretty pictures?

Well, Ты can read between the lines for my opinion. But I don't know whether this is a personal irritant или whether many еще besides me feel this way.

Of course, there is a time and place for everything. Crazy_chica added a "None of the above" option to my link...

RATE ME!

Why is it on Обои that there are so many еще Просмотры than there are people who rated it? It makes me really sad, because I like to see what people think of the content I add. Now, I realize that there are people who view Обои a еще than once, but what I don't understand is when some of my Обои have 87 Просмотры and only 2 people (one of which is me) who rated it. In the past I used to be guilty of this, however after adding a lot of content I realized that how good it made me feel when people took the 2 секунды it takes to rate my content. What Do Ты Think: A Soapbox on the Importance of Commenting

    I try to add a lot of quality content to this site, and I would like to think I succeed. However, there is no way to know for sure without your help. A Вопрос that constantly plagues my mind is, "What do Ты think?"
    There are a couple of different ways to let people know what Ты think about their content. One is rating, which is definitely the most concise way to Показать your feelings. However, sometimes just rating isn't enough to get your point across especially if the rating is unusually low.

I made a new spot about anything. The Слоган is "This spot is about anything that's important to you". It just came to me when I was hanging out with my friend James (WWEchamp) and I realized, I thought it would be cool if I could put anything I wanted on one spot. I thought it would be cool to just do anything I wanted to add. NO LIMITS! so I made a spot called the anything spot. So Ты if Ты want to Ты can now add no specific content. Movies, Sports, Politics,
TV shows, cooking, add anything Ты want. If Ты think i'm sounding like an a-hole right now that's your opinion, but I think I really have a good thing going here. So please take a look at the anything spot if your even romotely intrested at all.

I wasn't sure where to post this Статья so I decided to put it on this spot.

One год ago, the lives of many people around the world (especially of the people in Quebec) were turned upside down because of the death of Анастасия De Sousa. She was an innocent victim of the shooting that occurred at Dawson College in Montreal, Quebec exactly one год назад on September 13th, 2006. I just wanted to give her one moment of silence on this very sad anniversary and I was hoping Ты would all Присоединиться me in this. I was completely devastated when I first heard the tragic news about this shooting last year...

Petty Ratings

I have noticed recently that ratings on very great material are extremly low. I can understand Видео that are of poor quality but Ссылки like IMDb или fansites are being rated as low. These are what I have been calling "petty rates". If Ты have a problem with someone on Fanpop don't take it out on their ratings. Add your own content that Ты think is better.

When Ты write a soapbox или find a great image, it can be really disappointing to get a low rating. Personally, it makes me not want to add content. Why spend so much time adding great content when people are going to rate is so low and...
