Fanpop Launches Фан Club Поиск & Other Goodies

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Hello fellow Fanpoppers!

Just wanted to alert Ты to some Последнее changes made on Fanpop as well as a few things that have been on the site for the last couple of weeks that we hadn't necessarily announced officially.

New Navigation Bar
We've changed the navigation bar across the вверх of the site. You'll see a couple of new Ссылки up there: Входящие and updates. Hopefully this will allow people faster, one-click access to two of the еще Популярное Профиль pages on Fanpop. You'll also notice that a global Fanpop Поиск has been added to the вверх navigation. This was added so that we could provide the Далее new enhancement...

Fan Club Search
As Ты can imagine, with all the great content that has been added to Fanpop over the years, finding things on the site was getting increasingly difficult. The new Поиск feature rolled out a few weeks back has addressed this problem sitewide, but Фан Club Поиск now allows Фаны to look just within a single Фан club. Very useful for those Фан клубы with oodles of videos, picks and the like. Фан Club Поиск can be found *below* the Фан Club banner in each Club on the site.

Also, if Ты run a Фан Club Поиск and don't get the results Ты want, Ты can still easily jump over to results for all of Fanpop by clicking the "search fanpop" button in the Фан Club results page (see image below).

Other Cool Stuff
In addition to the global search, we've also made some changes to the frontpage of Fanpop. The Pop Culture feature allows us to highlight cool new content and items of interest to the Fanpop audience (and if Ты have suggestions или tips for something to include, Ты can always contact us via the contact link или directly with a pm). The Fanpop Обновления features gives Ты a glimpse of activity that's happening on the site right now so Ты can stay on вверх of the latest and greatest.

Those Fanpop sleuths out there who notice even the teensiest little changes will also note that the site footer has also been updated. You'll see some of Fanpop's official profiles on some other Популярное websites. Feel free to become our Друзья on those sites as well and help spread the word of Fanpop to other folks.

dave Haha, you guys are such good Fanpoppers that you're even considerate of the lonely logo! But don't fret my dear Fanpop fanatics, we will give the logo some company once we get rid of that pesky little beta tag! ;)

smoore23 I definitely like the idea of the 'search within a club' feature. That's very handy. One thing I miss: The 'my favorites' link at the bottom of the page. I'll get over it, though.

Pippi21 Am I being really really slow (which is certainly the more likely option) or did you change the term from spots to clubs? Because I do sort of like the term spots...

IsisRain I think the new changes are great! It's great to be on a site that keeps improving on things and shows that you guys really care about the site. I've belonged to a lot of sites over the years and have never seen such personal involvement by the owners before. Great job!

As usual I'm not delusional enough to think that I can prevent spam- of course not!
But I get so tired of seeing the same things over and over in my Обновления and then typing the same stuff over and over. Also people dont seem to grasp the use of Ключевые слова so maybe this will help some in that respect,too.

Big news! I, personally have sent an application for a new Статья for Fanpop on Wikipedia! Hopefully, within the month, Fanpop will have a Wikipedia Статья for Ты all to check out and add onto! Additionally, this may help make Fanpop еще well known.

A few Fanpop changes that would make my день everyday!

Quizzes:

Expand viewing answerers to ALL fanpoppers,not just from the fanlist.

Being able to Редактировать the Тест at all times,and not just the question,but the 4 answers.

Giving еще creative names for super-quiz milestones,shortening them up a little,and making the current prize visible on the profile.

Giving a time to answer a quiz,people sometimes go on websites to check their answers,it's not fair!

Not making a for number of characters for answers.

Stop deleting Тесты for the wrong reasons,research it first (I know how many Тесты get reported everyday,but it's their job,isn't it?)
