Livejournal can be quite confusing for people who don't use it, so here's a short guide including the most important things Ты have to think of when crediting Иконки from livejournal.

Why do I even have to credit?
You won't go to jail if Ты don't, but...
1.)People spend quite some time making Иконки and crediting them is a sign of respect
Think about how Ты would feel if Ты made some Иконки and suddenly you'd find them on some other site without your name mentioned anywhere.
2.)So Ты repost some pretty Иконки from livejournal, another fanpopper sees them and wants to see еще Иконки from the person...

Now, I Любовь Благодарности as much (or more) than the Далее person and when I go to my page and see that someone has дана me a благодарность I am in a happy little bubble for the rest of the day. I think this is a wonderful feature so that people can be recognized for their outstanding work. However, there is a etiquette that goes along with giving props.
